We will be there, be funny to see Choco and Oscar together again, seeing as they have grown so much now.

The earliest I'll be able to get there is 12:30 as I have Justice's socialisation class beforehand.
The forecast is 19 degrees and mild maxblack. |

Although I would love to I just dont think I can bring myself to come today even if i bought along Holly & Gemma Mums dogs.. I would end up being a blubbering mess and you all dont need to see that site..I willcome to teh nxt one though as I would miss you all too much
Found this quote today... thought you all might enjoy it... "He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.) When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself. He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever - in case I need him. And I expect I will - as I always have. He is just my dog." This post has been edited by Vixn00: 4th Oct 2009 - 10:36 AM |

Hope you're holding up okay Cazz.
Sorry we missed you Sam. Hope you got the garden sorted and managed to fit in some relaxation. Rest up LWC and we'll catch you at the next one. I took heaps of photos and will post them shortly. Justice went brilliantly at his socialisation class this morning and was introduced to five big dogs he doesn't know (including a DA GSD) without any problems. Mark said the main thing is that the environment/dogs need to be calm when the introductions are done so the energy levels aren't too high. When the introductions were done this morning we'd all been standing around chatting for 30 minutes or so, so all the dogs were relaxed and laying down before he took Justice around to them all. It didn't go quite as smoothly this afternoon, as Justice didn't respond too well to the other dogs being exciteable but once he was given a chance to lay quietly with another dog and be introduced slowly, he was fine with them. Sadly, I don't think he and Oscar will ever get on because they have very different energy levels and we couldn't get them calm enough together to get a controlled introduction happening. I kept Justice on leash for most of the meet although he did get to have a huge run and play with Marni and Asia at the end though, which he absolutely loved. It was great to meet/catch up some DOLers and the weather was perfect for an afternoon in the park. |
