  1. I'm taking my dog to a 7-day beach holiday in a week's time, and I'm worried about paralysis tick. I actually took her to the same place last year and luckily she didn't caught any paralysis tick. And what I use as tick prevention last time was frontline plus, daily spray of a mixture of Apple cider vinegar + water + lavender oil + geranium oil, as well as daily rub down to search for any ticks. I was also extra careful by not taking her to high bush area, and just limit her to the backyard of the beach house and the dog friendly beach. However I did notice that the backyard had a few high bushes along the fence and the house we are staying is right next to a wildlife protected lake area. So I'm not sure if we were just lucky or if it's because of the frontline plus or the ACV spray that's working but I'm quite worried this time as I don't plan to put frontline plus on her as she had a mild local reaction to it the last time we put it on, and I don't plan on giving her anything orally fearing she might develop a reaction (which is the last thing we need before we go to the holiday). So just wondering if anyone has any other natural remedies to repel paralysis ticks that they find useful? I'm still going to do daily checks on her for any sign of ticks, I've even bought the tick twister thing from my vet just in case we found one. P.s she's a short hair dog (Doberman) and the only tick and flea prevention she ever been on is frontline plus and I don't apply it on her every month, just when we are going to tick-prone areas.
