They have been around for years and years and years. My mum used to want one until she found out the amount of grooming involved around the um Hind area

Jadey

Sorry to hijack but years ago I saw a GSD but it was a miniature.
I queried the owner and yes she was a mini but have never seen one since.... Do they really exist?

Eccles,

The miniature GSD would have been a dwarf as there is no such thing as a mini Shepherd.
Dwarfs are fortunately rare but when one is born and kept ,they have so many health problems they rarely live beyond 12 months of age.

Apparently in America , they have designed a mini Aussie Shepherd.

The Americans bastardize everything and don't seem to care what problems it could cause.

If you have mini sheep and cows, why not mini dogs to round them up.. save money all round on food.

Oh now you have hurt my feelings, I am sorry you feel that way about me.

Actually the first mini Aussie I ever saw about 9 years ago, was bred by a Canadian breeder...and we all know what they are like....really nice people on the whole!

I found a story about a dwarf GSD, cute pics but sad ending.

Aww poor little girl -- as long as there isn't a trend I will say she was very sweet and cute looking.

Swedish Vallund - the GSD for me when I'm too old and frail to deal with a big lump like D

re; the miniature Border Collie advert,
Maybe they are Shetland Sheepdogs, my neighbour has one that she calls a miniature collie, but they are the mini Lassie type dogs.
