I have a mini staffie, I have been chasing jinta arounbd with a tape measure trying to get her hieght and its 13" !!
Its no mistake, I was seeking a small staffie when I bought her and it took me a while to find a small one. I saw many pups, most with standard size parents, large heads, potential to really grow big.
When I saw Jintas mother I thought she was a pup!! she was so slim, and petite, I found the right mother, the father was a full size standard staffie, so there was a risk, I had no idea if Jinta was going to be big or small, but I prayed she stayed little. :( she did! shes almost 2 now so I think shes going to stop growing??

After taking a while to read all these pages
i just want to add " THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MINATURE STAFFORD""

there are smaller ones out there around the 13' mark but if the breed breeds correctly most pups will grow to standard size.

Jintanut your baby is still a Staffordshire not a miniature she is just on the small side of the standard and if she is only 2 then she could still be growing as we have had some mature till almost 5 years of age depends on the lines really

Well I think this little girl is going nowhere... sorry Rataholic1966....

She has won us over and we dont think we could part with her. Every one that has come to Staffy Rescue to adopt a dog since she has been with us has seen her and have been interested in adopting her... but I think she will be staying with us.

I will update her photos on the Rescue or the photo section when her condition gets better.. At the moment she has really bad fur, very dull, brittle and dry. But we will soon fix that

I hope you find the dog you are after.....

I doubt I will see too much change in her now, but I never say never either!!! shes not a mini as such, as far as I know they dont exist, (i wish they did) shes just small.
I didnt want a standard size staffie with a massive head, and very full body, I wanted a more petite stafford, and no, I didnt buy her from a reg breeder, they were all so proud of the larger dogs. I have nothing against breeders, I just knew what I was searching for, and I didnt want 'standard'.(yeah I sound loopy, so what)
I used to cringe each time she had a growth spurt, I know when its going to happen as she used to suddenly have extra skin, to grow into...
atm theres some skin happening arond her neck and chest area.
I love her to bits, however big/or little she grows!!!

I believe that the minature staffy u r refering to is a purebreed english staffordshire terrier which are quite short compared to the american & irish staffy & such many people have purchased dogs from backyard breeders or pet shops under the impression that they are getting a staffy when infact alot are getting themselves an amstaff or pitty if u wish to get an english staff do some research & go to a reputable breeder u may pay a little more than u would from say a petshop or puppy peddler but you will be receiving a quality dog & at the end of the day thats what its all about!

im one of those....spur of the moment decision I was told he was a english x american staff. What i have is a rednose pitti whom i just love to death.

(i must say im more educated now re: petshops & puppy mills & would never buy from either again)

Sorry to confuse you Jintanut,

Liver, and tri-colour are not accepted colours in the Staff, but I have seen some around.
She looks very 'chocolate' in her pic. That's why I wondered. ;)

Mel I think youre right that pic does make her look dark brown...shes not, her colours are a definate black and gold, she even has a few sripes on her head, maybe thats what stuffs the color of the pic up??
I must take a clearer pic one day and have troy resize it, im HOPELESS posting pics...
Tomorrow I will take a pic, to show her colours and her size, (or lack of it.) ;)
That Irish staffie is beautiful, kind of like a meaty muscular lab...
