  1. :D I have finally made the decision to take a trip to Vietnam (A dear friend of 28 years has a Guesthouse and begged me to come and visit) I have arranged flights/ accomodation to Da Nang and will be staying in Hoi An for 6 nights then travelling by train to Bai Xep a tiny Fishing Village near Qui Nhon. After a relaxing 2 weeks at Haven Guesthuse http://havenvietnam.com/. Where I will spend time in the Village teaching English to the Children.... We will fly to Ho Chi Minh for 3 days before flying home. If anyone has any tips regarding safety, sightseeing, must do I would appreciate it. I don't leave until 28th Feb and my Children gave me a Vietnamese Language book to study :) So I should be able to say at least "Hello" by then. FYI I am 62 years young so no suggestions of Mountain Climbing please :D TIA
  2. Just reading this thread, it reminded me of giving a Horse medication BUTE for pain and putting it in Red Cordial I thought it was just to improve the taste BUT this old Horse man said it was for the horses stomach as well. Bute now comes in an apple flavoured paste but is more expensive......so I suppose the old remedies work well for all animals.
  3. This one just arrived in my emails as well......never used them but for the small one at $19.00 it should be worth a try. I will be getting one for using with the Grandsons. http://www.livingsocial.com/cities/989/deals/459578-canvas-print-in-your-choice-of-size-from-19
  4. I remember putting Lassie on for my daughter when she was about 6 years old.....when Lassie was walking through the snow to get home she burst into tears and still to this day reminds me of that horrible movie (she is 28)
  5. Thanks for sharing they are beautiful pics.
  6. Another stalker looking for puppy pics :D
  7. I know what your doing Pers. Your training possum to drive so she can compete against the NZ dogs that can drive a car....lol
  8. My Brothers dogs/desexed males, used to pee in the dog bowls when they stayed with me.....water/food It drove me NUTS....I had two females desexed dogs. The only thing I could do was remove the bowls immediately after food and keep the water bowls up a bit higher on a brick. As they only stayed over the weekend with me I had no Idea/chance how to stop them. They never did this at their own home inside/or outside so I just put it down to a marking my house as their territory.
  9. From your pic it looks to me like the infection might be coming from The Lump, which is in the spot where the tear duct on the top eyelid would be. Keep the eye clean and use mild saline (1/4 tsp to cup full of water) to bathe the area. Use a tissue/cotton ball and only swipe once then disgard so as not to reinfect the area. Best wishes to your baby dog.....Vet visit in a day or two would be something I would do. :D
  10. I wish I could uddle those little bums.......... :D
  11. Run Free Stevie, and wait for Kirty and the Family at the bridge. Your story has always made me admire you - you gave Stevie a chance that he would never have experienced... Please take care of yourself. Hugs to you and all who knew Stevie.
  12. Sorry to hear about the mastitis.....with Cavs in the past with mastitis I have hand expressed the effected boob and made sure the pups completly empty it as well. Same senario with humans....I had it with all three of my children and Docs/midwifes all said have the baby still feed from that side It did hurt but helped clear the infected ducts.
  13. I agree with the vet visit....crying like that doesn't seem normal to me either. I once had a dog that got a piece of plastic caught in her mouth that was very hard to see/feel and she was pawing at her mouth and shaking her head so I would say that if it were teeth the pup would display similar symptoms. Good luck with the little one.
