  1. I have just today been asked to try and find a home for a very sweet five year old female Wolfhound cross. She is desexed and has had all work done ..She is being rehomed through no fault of her own and has lived with two small dogs all her life ..she has had no experience with cats. Like all Wolfies she has a vey mild gentle nature . She is white and fairly heavily coated but has been regularly groomed .She is not a tall dog about Labrador sized and is situated in Ambarvale Sydney. if this lovely girl would be suitable please pm me for her details. Of course if there is anyone else who would be interested in this girl please contact me by private message. Also could anyone put me in contact with any group in Sydney that does Wolfhound rescue or rehoming. I have pics taken today if anyone is interested...Could send to mobiles. Cant post here from mynipad unfortunately...
  2. I live in Sydney's Inner West and in early May my sister and I were walking her two Labs..Ina a dog park we were attacked by two Giant Schnauzers who broke away from their owner. I had control of the older Lab but the younger one was chased and mauled by the Schnauzers..owner could not control them.. the Lab they were after was running back to my sister when the Scnauzers charged knocking my sister flying to the ground in the process...After a furious chase up and down the park and the Lab bitten in the process all the dogs were brought under control. WE told the woman with them we were going to report her. Which we did ...to he Police and to Council. I wanted them to be declared dangerous as this was the second time my sister and her dog had been attacked by these dogs. WE made the report and were told by the Ranger only this week that people should report such incidents as otherwise their hands are tied. I really want these dang dogs declared dangerous and be muzzled in public and have to weara coller letting people know .... Blow this not wanting to declare a dog dangerous. They bleeding well are!! It seems however that they will be declared a nuisance dog and will have a period of about six months good behaviour imposed and if they put a paw wrong then more serious results will occur. Fines etc... Don't pussy foot around if a dog behaves in an unacceptable way...do something about it...
  3. Well what a delightful outcome for a dear little girl..thank youmto, all who helped in this ...I knew that the wonderful,DOL rescue network would do the trick...my niece to whom Daisy belonged originally was too sad to looka at the pics before but she'll be delighted to see and hear this news. I hope that Daisy and her lovely new Mum will have many happy years ..after all Daisy is only a young un..The day before she was collected by the rescue ladies I gave her a bath and spruced her up...she is such a sweet little thing..I'm delighted she's found such a wonderful family..Maree would you let them know how thankfull we are and hope they are just as happy Great stuff rescue gals...

  10. I have every confidence that little Haze will be perfectly well looked after by you Keetamouse..we were very fortunate that you have her in your care...she'll love the style of new home you have planned for her..and if she stays with you , why shes won the doggy lottery...the only thing now is........we eagerly await the pics which we hope you were able to take yesty....just saying....lol. my sister told me you recommended someone"Get a goldfish!!" if they weren't going to let their dog be an inside dog....big lols from me ..as I look at my Cavvy snoozing on the humans lounge here beside me..
  11. Great to hear little Haze is getting on so well ..I'm sure she loved being pampered T the Groomers and well be looking forward to seeing her here in all her made over glory..thanks again Keetamouse..I'll let my sister know to look in here..they'd love to see her ..I'm sure she'll settle in..perhaps she'd just like to be an only dog..but with your tender care she may well settle in with your happy little pack...Cheers and my thanks Liebs
  12. I scrolled thru all the images..Am I the only one who thought all these dogs looked like dead stuffed specimans..? I mean actually stuffed as in taxidermists work..they all had a strange dull lifeless flatness to them...very weird... And no matter what is desired in today's show German Shepherd .. They are downright wrong...no dog stands like that naturally ..it is utterly ridiculous..and I sit here basted and ready to be flamed..those responsible for the German Shepherd in the rings today should be ashamed of what theyve done to a lovely breed..same goes for the poor old British BullDog and the myriad of problems they have today..have mercy on them and breed out th terrible way they are in today with their inability to breath ang whelp naturally.
  13. LittlemHazel has arrived at Marees and is happily settling in with all the Keetermouse critters. Some pics will be sent in a day or so. perhaps Maree will post one here..as I can't from this iPad I use..but she's doing very well.lfast asleep on the lounge kind of thing. Ee are all very happy she's happy and very thankffull to Maree of CPR!!!
