  1. I am a bit confused about Dr Billinghurst barf patties not sure which ones he is affiliated with is it big dog patties or the Dr B patties or both? Any help would be appreciated thankyou
  2. Good news on the golden paste he loves it, I also joined the turmeric users group Facebook page a great source of information thank you for the link. VizslaMomma we have been to that vet about 12 years ago when we lived in the area, back then it wasn't a holistic vet so I will make an appointment straight away.
  3. Thank you everyone for your posts and links I made up the golden paste this afternoon, fingers crossed he eats it as he's getting quite fussy in his old age and especially since Jess died, I was thinking if I give it to him with kangaroo mince his favourite that should do the trick. Thanks again
  4. Hi, has anybody had success in using turmeric for reducing tumours. My billy has just been diagnosed with cancer and due to it's position right next to his willy can't be operated on, that and his age 14. We are devastated as we lost his sister 8 months ago.
  5. Hopefully a retired greyhound, after having 2 lakeland terriers I think I need a break haha
  6. I second the hydrogen peroxide but instead of soaking the foot in it, I poured it over the paw 3-4 times worked really well.
  7. Thank you everyone for your kind words, we are all missing her terribly but doing ok. ViszlaMomma thank you for thinking of her when you light a candle tonight Regards mybilly
  8. Jess you came to us at 3 months of age at a time when we all needed something to love but you only had eyes for one of us, and as it turned out it was the one that needed you the most. Having a free spirit you weren't the easiest of dogs, but we didn't mind as you kept us on our toes. We didn't know you were sick until it was too late I guess you didn't want to worry us. You went quietly to sleep clutched to the heart of the one you loved the most, your master. Good night jess always loved never forgotten
  9. what makes me smile, is to see our 2 doing zoomies around the back yard, both being 13 they do more sleeping than zooming, so when they take off together smiles from ear to ear, it makes me smile to see them still enjoying life despite being nearly blind and arthritic.
  10. Or a cat my two terrors go crazy when next door neighbors cat sits on the back fence, they can't see it because of the bushes that grow there so must be able to smell it.
  11. Hi Persephone and thank you for answering, when we leave which isn't for too long as we are both retired the dogs are kept inside we recorded their barking using the mic on the computer, the last time, they barked for 3 hours non stop mainly the girl as she has a lot deeper bark than the boy. They usually come with us in the car, but because the weather is getting hotter we have left them at home. Over the years this hasn't been a problem the barking has just started over the past month. Re their health we thought the girl had a touch of dementia a year ago, as she would bark at the garage door to be let in, instead of the back door but she only did this a few times and nothing recently. The boy has failing eye sight but copes with that ok their hearing is fine as far as I know. Nothing has changed recently, it is strange as she has never been a barker, the boy is the barker in the family and she doesn't join in. Listening to the tape she is barking the whole time with a few woofs from the boy. I will try the rescue remedy to see if that helps her if I put 2 drops on her tongue and a few in her drinking water do you think that would be ok?
  12. My 12 year old lakeland terriers have just started barking for long periods of time when I leave the house, just wondering if rescue remedy would help and how many drops on the tongue for a 8 kg dog.
  13. I would second getting a border terrier wonderful dogs
