  1. hey, I agree with all the comments but , why, why, why was there a speared dugong on the beach? Surely they are protected! the whole video makes me feel ikky, idiot people, dogs and sharks both capable of hurting each other and a beautiful endangered species dead, about to become dinner
  2. Yes desexing him will help, do it now if there is no reason why not (as said before) but he will need training too. It is a learned behaviour now so he will need to learn to not do it. find yourself a good trainer or training school for help, as you seem to be a little lost atm. its a solvable problem but you do need to know what you are doing
  3. yes it was you, just wasn't 100% sure. thanks again. I think mine would love this can it be frozen and can you use chicken livers? Ta yes it freezes well and you can use any kind of liver. Just cut it up into smaller blocks to defrost as you need it
  4. No one checks as really you cannot stop someone walking their dog in the parklands. However you just end up missing out of the promo bag that seems to have a few bits and pieces. They do try to funnel everyone to the registration tent and remind often but its up to you if you want to donate or not. I was a bit put off as last time I went someones dog was throwing up around the entire track (ab out 4 times I saw) and obviously no one told them to withdraw from the walk so that dog may have been sharing the group drinking and other dogs whose owners didnt care were um getting at the sick. Not pleasant. it was maybe totally stressed out by the 10000s of dogs and people, its really not a dog friendly event
  5. Hi I make liver cake all the time and all the dogs love it It is basically a liver, ox, lamb or chicken pureed in blender until it is virtually liquidized, add an egg and then enough flour to make it into a batter. Then put it into a greased tray and cook for about 30 mins depending on size of liver used. I find its easier to cut and dogs seem to like it when its still a bit pink in the middle. Whrn cooked cut it up into pieces & freeze until you need them. Good luck, the worst part is the cleaning up Anne
  6. regardless of the breed .... did anyone see the end of the story....? the poor dog was involved in an "incident" last week and was "held" whatever that might mean at knifepoint. What sort of lifestyle have these people got, poor bloody dog is all i can say
  7. exactly what is he trying to do?
  8. it was true crap from beginning to end, all negative with training, how/ where to get puppies from and advise? well what can i say... nothing and i mean nothing positive was there! from basics to more basic manners,,,,, national tv! where do we go from here?
  9. I have a friend with a 10 year old Labrador who has had a nasty dose of pancreatitis. Having gotten over this it was discovered he had quite advanced renal failure, he is now on a very restricted and strict diet. she was asking me if there were any treats she can still give him or if I knew of a home-made recipe for some treats, any ideas?
  10. Hi, my darling 10 month old puppy decided she would sneek into her crate and nibble front door zip on my K9 Royale soft crate ,now zip cant be zipped. Anyone know if it can be fixed? If so where ,I am in SA , Thanks Anne
