  1. I haven't read the whole thread, and have no particular interest in greyhound racing, but I watched the show as an outsider and dog lover and was horrified. Even worse though is the numbers of unwanted dogs being killed. If the estimated numbers being talked about are correct (or even half true) this is an absolute tragedy. Surely if the industry contracts or even disappears then these dogs will no longer be bred in such numbers? Seems to me if racing persists then breeders will continue to breed more and more dogs hoping for a winner. Serious question for advocates of dog racing, is there a way the industry can thrive without producing so many unwanted dogs? Obviously they are not popular as pets (right or wrong) so how can we limit the numbers of dogs which don't make the grade?
  2. Hi everyone, Another Cairns person here interested in schutzhund. I've got a working line GSD puppy, 17 weeks old, way too feisty for puppy school Would love to do some training that channels his energy instead of trying to suppress it. Sent you a message, pupster. Cheers
  3. Actually it was just a (rather lame) joke that I heard somewhere :)
  4. This report makes a lot of sense. It's not well known but they stopped those "Marlboro Man" cowboy ads when his horse died from passive smoking.
  5. Just move to Cairns. Most people can't be bothered to pick up here :-( I sometimes feel like handing out poo bags but would probably get a punch in the face, haha Edit, I just buy the pet barn 4 pack, 60 for under 10 bucks, black with dog bones on em.
