  1. Ok cool thanks yeh that's basically what I'd read. And that's what I wanted to follow for my dog. So vets do just do a canine cough vaccination?
  2. Hi just wandering what people's thoughts on annual vaccinations are. I've always been told by my vet that after the initial puppy vaccinations a yearly c5 is required but after doing a bit of goggleing this seems to be disputed by a lot of experts, with most others countries now following a 3 yearly c3 and just a yearly kennel caugh vaccination. With the yearly c5 now being thought to do more harm by over vaccinating and Messing with the dogs natural immune system. what vaccination routine do you all follow? interested in hearing, cheers
  3. Yeh I had heard mixed reviews. The one at my local vet west is run externally by a trainer and I think is fairly controlled. So I might give that a go for a session next week and see how it goes. Thanks for all the advice:)
  4. Hi guys, Just wanted to get some thoughts on puppy pre school. Is it worth it? I've got an 11 week old Amstaff, and was going to book him at pre school. He's already 95% there with his toilet training, knows general commands (sit and stay) isn't much of a biter and responds to NO when mouthing. The only real benefit I could see is socialisation. Has anyone put a puppy through it and is it worth it or a waiste of money? Cheers:)
  5. Yeh I know to stay away from Andonas. Blue is just my personal preference. Some people prefer black, some brindle, some red etc. not sure why everyone always feels the need to take a big dump and "educate" you on colour preference. I've owned staffs my hole life and my parents are registered breeders of an other breed. Im not exactly going to rock up to a puppy farm or pet shop to purchase a dog. My question was mearly price related. Thank you????
  6. Thanks a lot, hands down the best advice. I'll have a browse through your links:)
  7. Hi I'm in the hunt now for a blue male Amstaff pup. Seems to be a lot of variance in price. I'm looking at one pup atm, the guy wants $2800 with papers or is willing to sell the pup for $1600 without papers but with a copy of both parents papers. I'm not planning on breeding the dog so not really fussed about the papers. Is $1600 too much to pay for an un papered pup? Cheers:)
  8. Cheers guy, just checked out Ironklad, they seem pretty good :)
  9. Hi guys I've been looking at sourcing a reputable breeder to purchase an Amstaff from for some time now. Given the high number of backyard breeders/puppy mills that are around these days I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend some genuine reputable breeders that don't operate as puppy mills/ "dog dealers". I'm in Perth so WA would be preferable but not essential. Cheers guys:)
