  1. She said they still use though but just be careful... When I heard that word I thought can't risk it lol
  2. Yeah I was going to get F10 but the vet said it can be carcinogenic so I opted for disinfectant for wooden floating floor boards... I bleacked some of the tile area and even outside.. I'm going to bleach it again to be safe... thanks for the advice
  3. Thanks for the support guys... my kids are handling it well... we told them one of the pups died... they took it well... they asked a lot of questions and we answered as best we can... yeah I can imagine fair trading would take a while... I'll let my wife handle that side... My solicitor has helped my in the past with a case where someone owe me money and she was able to pursue it and I had a successful outcome... I've just emailed her so waiting on her response
  4. thanks for the reply... No we don't have the pup... we were going to grab him until I researched more and said it can affect humans... We have 2 young kids... Can't risk it so we told him.. He seemed upset that we're wasting his time and that he could have lied to us and not told us about the virus. I've txt him what we're going to do as he's not picking up our calls... my wife will go through fair trading... for me I have more faith in my solicitor... it's going to cost more but I feel it's the principle... the femal pup has died... 2 other pups have shown symptoms... our one apparently not... even the vet said she had to wear 2 gloves... it's very risky she said...
  5. Hi all, I'm new to this forum... I need advice on what options I have... Situation is we bought 2 german shepherd puppies from a breeder. Not sure if he's registered but probably not. We found the AD in trading Post. Anyways we took the puppies home... the following day they had runny stool with blood in it... We rang the breeder and he suggested we take it too him. He gave us a full refund but said if they are fine do we still want them... I said yes of course... well they were put on antibiotics for a week.... We asked him to hold them for us for an additional week so my wife could take time off and look after them... We visitied them several times... They did not look well but he assured us they were.. they look tired but I thought maybe they are pups and get tired when we visit... So we decided to pnly purchase the male pup... We gave him the full amount... 2 days prior to us picking up the pup I get a call from the breeder, he said the sibling is sick and he thinks it leptospirosis.. he told us to come take the male pup now so he doesn't get infected... But they've been living together for 2 1/2 weeks so chances are he has it... The vet that looks after the pups said more than like the pup has it and she recommends that we do not take the puppy home as our son has medical condition which reduces his ammune system. I requested a refund from the breeder but he's refusing... said if the pup dies then he'll give us a refund... but if it doesn't then we can have him back or he can sell it to someone else and give us the money... The vet said the virus can have incubation period of 10 to 14 days... But some cases 4 to 6 weeks... she said not to risk it and do not take the puppy. What options do I have? go to fair trading or get a solicitor? I do have a solicitor I've used in the past. She's very good at what she does... It's an expensive route but at least I know I'll get my money back going down that route.... but is there any other options? I've tried calling the breeder a couple of times today but he's not picking up Sorry for long rant
