  1. Yes we'd love him. Thanks so much, I'll send you a PM to make arrangements :)
  2. DCH Animal Adoptions have Calendars available too. you can order through our website www.dchanimaladoptions.com.au
  3. DCH have a number of kittens with carers throughout Sydney. She can check out our website for pictures and descriptions: http://www.dchanimaladoptions.com.au
  4. I believe they voted to work with government approved rescue groups and are now in the process of implementing this. DCH have been very pleased to be involved in discussions with them and we hope to work with them in the future. After many years of negativity towards rescue (whether approached nicely or not) this is a wonderful step forward and I hope that we can make a real difference there.
  5. As a rescue group with deductible gift recipient status we provide tax receipts to anyone who donates funds to us. I keep detailed records of the vet bills we seek special sponsorship for and the subsequent donations we receive towards that bill. Although noone has ever asked to see the vet bill or a breakdown of the costs but if they did it's all there for them to see and of course, we are independently audited each year which should give the public a degree of confidence that their money is going where they want it to
  6. I couldn't work out how to attach a pic but I think I've worked it out now. This is Myrtle's 2nd litter and she hates the whelping box, she'll have the pups in there but then insists on moving them to the hallway outside the box......
  7. Sorry to hear you lost a pup Skyehaven. My Myrtle had her puppies over the weekend, started at 5pm on Saturday afternoon and finished at 2:30pm on Sunday, so a long time for her but she's doing well now and we have 5 girls and 3 boys all doing well.
  8. Leonbergers Congrats piper on 9 healthy pups, that's great news.
  9. Good luck Piper, I hope it all goes well. and lovely looking pups ST. We've got about 9 days to go with our girl so it's getting very exciting now
  10. Went to the vets tonight and he said that they were indeed very large but still all quite normal so nothing to worry about. But as for if the pups will be able to feed from them he said we'll just have to wait and see, so I guess I better double check my bottle/formula rations in case worse comes to worse.... thanks everyone bye Megan
  11. thanks guys, the rear nipples are definately smaller so they shouldn't pose a problem, but good to know they should be able to get milk out even if they can't get their whole mouth around. I might take her up to the vet for a quick check anyway just to make sure it's all normal. I have actually put my girls litter in there, I just don't come in here all that often and it's easy to get lost when the thread is about 10 pages longer than I first went in ;) bye Megan
  12. Is it possible that a bitches nipples can be too large for the pups to latch onto? My girl is due in a week and her nipples are huge, I don't remember them being quite this large last time she had a litter and I'm wondering if they might be too big for the pups. thanks Megan
  13. Hi All, We can add a litter of Leonberger pups to the list too. My girl had an ultrasound today, she's just a few days over 4 weeks but the results looked positive so looks like we'll expect pups around the last few days of May. bye Megan
  14. Thanks for highlighting that Steve, glad it's all encompassing. I think this is a great idea and will be working on getting as many signatures as possible
