  1. Sadly looks like that lead with the dog treats didn't pan out. I hope you are right Little Gifts about seeing her being picked up.
  2. Thanks persephone - she's so young to be out there alone...breaks my heart
  3. Dont know but I just posted your suggestion on their Facebook in case they havent. :D
  4. I hope this okay to post here - if not just delete it :) This is a video made for Reg & Clancy in the hopes of helping locate Cyan. Please share it and help spread the story - if someone has her or has seen her and doesn't know about all this the vid might just make a difference.
  5. Pepper does a sort of snarly sound from her throat. SHe's not being aggressive tho - just playing. YOu can hear it a bit in that vid if you listen carefully. It's her percussion accopaniment! But no, not really. It's generally a solo effort. Sometimes he just sits in his bed carrying on like that and worse for up to 10 minutes (usually I can't stand it any longer and distract him at that point) LOL His other fave time to start singing is when I'm on the phone
  6. LMAO He's usually like that. One happy little fella. But ALWAYS when I play that music LOL DUnno what it is about it. He doesnt get so silly over any other music I play.
  7. Kirst - yes I do. LMAO Dylan aint going anywhere! He's my cheeky monkey! Will look into how I can get all three in here. And make up a birthday of some sort. He wont care. hahahaha
  8. Dylan has this wierd thing where he will start singing the moment I put on anything by the singer Adam Lambert. He gets excited and goes nuts. I don't often catch him doing it but today I managed to get some of it. So I made a vid out of it, complete with Adam and a whole tv show for Dylan's duet with Adam. Hope you like it LOL
  9. Oh and yes mackie - I am thrilled with Tango and how much he's come out of his shell and "into" his own personality. It gets me all teary sometimes....
  10. eeeeuuuuwwwww! mackiemad. No really. EEEUUUWWWWWWW! ROFLMAO A ticker for DYlan. Hmmmm well I still havent decided on a "birthday" for him yet. And I think three tickers are too many for the siggie in here. Maybe I can do 3 smaller ones..... I have been making a video of Dylan. Uploading it as I type...
  11. Perhaps the gate needs replacing and she's just trying to help You know what's worse than poo-eating. Rolling around in rotten old smelly dead things. I'm lucky only one of them does that (the other two eat it) - and that one is the charming lady-like Pepper. It beats me how she can be such a "LADY" and then go and do something like that. I had to drive all the way home with my head stuck out the window last time she did that on a walk. GARRRGHHHH!
  12. Thanks honbun and Harley - I probably have more stories that could be told, they just blur into one long experience of joy and fun with these guys. And I love all my dogs but I seriously just love Dylan to pieces - I'm not sure he could be much more charming. Even with the hole digging.
  13. LOL digging holes and eating poop is just another clever trick! Really truly it is!!! LMAO DYlan doesn't eat poop. Well - actually they all eat cow and horse poo, oh and wallaby and ..... hmmmm never mind... Glad to hear Sophies also doing so well!!!
  14. Hi folks! Sorry I'm not around much. Just a tad busy and preoccupied. I got a message the other day asking after Dylan so I thought I'd just pop in and give a quick update. Not that there's much to tell LOL Dylan is growing fast and remains as cheeky and gorgeous as ever. I should spend more time training him but I'm a complete slacker. He has started digging holes a lot in the lawn which indicates he's getting bored so I"m trying to give him more time. As for the holes, I'm starting to think the best approach is to take it as a suggestion and plant something in wherever he digs them. Like a nice tree or flowers depending on where it is. Less lawn to mow - thanks Dylan!!! He and Tango occassionally get a little snarky with each other but generally they are getting along really well. Tango has even started to learn how to play chasey without actually biting DYlan (most of the time). So Tango goes charging after Dylan snarling like he's the worlds scariest dog and then veers away at the last minute. Dylan LOVES it and eggs him on at every opportunity. Pepper and Dylan are best mates. Poor Pepper gets bothered by him all the time to play (his idea of a subtle invitation is to charge at her and grab her round the neck). SHe is SO tolerant!!! Dylan is also singing more and more and I keep meaning to get it recorded more often. He particularly likes to sing with my Adam Lambert CD. So that's about it I guess. Here's some recent pics (today) walking in the pouring rain. Since Dylan joined us Tango has started hanging around with the group more on walks and he and DYlan often race off together barking at each other and having a wonderful time. I also saw Tango overcome his extreme fear of water when Pepper and Dylan were playing in a stream - Tango did the smallest steps into the teeniest shallowest bit of water and then scooted when the others came over to marvel at him being in the water. THIS IS HUGE FOR TANGO!!! Here's a couple of pics from today. Notice how FAT Tango is. I'm thinking I might need to cut his food back now LOL hahahahaha But he is such a happy boy. I cuddle him in his bed all the time now and he wags his tail and smooches into my face and licks my hand (instead of trying to rip my face off!) - aint that nice! Pepper meanwhile has lost weight and DYlan is just a gorgeous slim muscley boy. He sure has a great doggy bod.
  15. Thanks MM - yes that's it - Gotcha Day!! I remember seeing that somewhere. Its odd too I was just thinking how the day I picked up Tango it was in the 40s here and the heat lasted well into the night - yet this year we're having such cold weather and last night was all foggy and freezing. I really admire all the work people do with fostering dogs and finding them great new homes. I don't think I could do it (looks at foster failure number 1 Mr Dylan) LOL. I had the three of them on my bed this morning, all with their noses in my face waking me up. THen Tango leaps off and stands at the end of the bed barking his head off at me. He's become such a flamin NAG!!!! Who woulda thought.... his confidence would ever develop so much. Pepper can take a lot of the credit! ANway - yes HAPPY GOTCHA DAY TANGO!!!! So glad I gotcha! :D
  16. Hi just popping in to update this thread about Tango It's the one year anniversary of when I picked him up from the airport. YAY! :D And he has come such a long way he's barely recognisable as the same dog. Today was too hot for an off-lead walk (snakes!!) but we went for a walk and I thought about this time last year as I put on his harness and had to loosen it yet again because he's put on so much weight. I watched him playing with Dylan - they play chasey round the backyard now - and sniffing peppers face and pushing into her to cuddle and thought OMG he is so different now. He is a very relaxed old fella these days and his greatest joy is to go walking off lead or sit chewing on a bone (which he gets frequently now). He smiles a lot and grabs toys and runs around the backyard tossing his head etc all the time. He is just the happiest dog you could meet. Anyway. Just wanted to celebrate his "birthday" (ie birth of his new life) with a quick post.
  17. I don't try to regulate my dogs peeing habits. Apart from anything else they are dallies and prone to developing stones in their urine - it's important they are allowed to pee as often as they like. One of them is a known stone former so I would NEVER stop him peeing. If he's peeing somewhere inappropriate I will move him quickly to an okay spot - but that's about it. I certainly wouldn't tell him to stop. I don't let my dogs walk on people's lawns/gardens EVER so that's never a problem but nature strips are fair game - or any other random patches of weeds/grass. Mind you nature strips where I live are not manicured and coveted by anyone. They are just bits of neglected council land between the homeowners land and the road that the council mows occassionally. If they poop when we're out walking I pick it up, no matter where it is. Pretty simple. They are dogs. I don't impose my human stuff on everything they do. Peeing in the gutter? I would consider that worse than peeing on someone's lawn. We have notices all over our gutters asking people NOT to put litter etc in the gutters because it flows to the river (where platypi and other creatures dwell) and ends up being our drinking water. I'm sure doggy urine would also be a bit frowned on.
  18. Thanks MM yes they do. Pepper has also LOST weight (due to playing with Dylan so much I reckon hahahaha) which is a good thing. She was a tad chubby
  19. None that I've seen. I'm always vigilant tho. He seems very healthy *touch wood*. DOnt think he'll ever be overweight. I'm just pleased I no longer have to explain to people that I'm NOT starving him.
  20. Actually, just looking at Tango's collar you can see how much it's been moved to make it a larger fit by the dark marks on it made by the buckle at each fitting. He has gone from a boney neck to a nice fat one!!!
  21. Oh and one more! Look at these two!! So cute! And when you click on it and make it bigger you can see how wonderfully perfect Tangos eye looks now. Both eyes have completely stopped looking sunken!
  22. God no!! I dont want him to LOSE weight, I can hardly believe I've finally got him to put it on!!! :D I'm only joking when I call him Fat-arse because I'm so delighted. He's not really fat by any means. He's just finally looking normal. I took these a few minutes ago. Just wanted to show how he looks and the last one shows how big Dylan is now. He's still only about 9 or 10 months old and still growing.
  23. Hiccup! (Why is there no drunken emoticon???) LOL Yep would be good if there was eh! Meanwhile - did I mention Tango is getting fat? Went to put his harness thingy on the other day (which is usually slightly loose on him even on its smallest fitting) and I couldn't do the bloody thing up. I had to take a step back and look at him and I realised he's put on heaps of weight in the last few weeks. I cant see his ribs anymore!! I've taken to calling him Fat-arse hahahahah
  24. I dont mind you hijacking the thread at all It's about adorable spotty dogs getting a better shot at things really - Dylan is just one of them. Maybe Sophie's behaving better because she thinks she's been really lucky to come back to you!!! We are doing a similar thing with our mad spotty ones. I tried to lay down some slug/snail traps today and tonight - you know the ones you put beer in. Bloody DYlan keeps knocking the tops off them and drinking the beer.......
