Sway - do you still sell them and if so do you have any in stock?
I know longer sell them.

I read that different parts of the antler are harder than others too. Seems the smooth ones are softer than the bumpy ones.
It depends on the type of deer they come from.
Some pictures from when I used to sell them.
Mine being the largest were from Red Deer, the other is Fallow Deer.
-
I've found antlers to be hit and miss. Some last for aaaaaaaaages [over a year]. Others are demolished in an hour.
They need to sit and dry out for many months - the longer they sit and dry the longer they last.
-
This gave me a giggle and then I realised it's very common !
A few examples...
1) Do you actually want a dog or do you want Lassie?
3) Have you ever trained a dog before? To what level? No, be serious, what have you actually done?
If you have to ask yahoo answers, you can’t have one.

The do not have a strong rotten old bone smell to them IF they are 100% calcified and dried out.

I would be more concerned if the stud dog developed a health issue that his pups could be effected by.
Sounds like the pet owner just wants a pet and not a stud dog.
-
With two sires you are unlikely to get more puppies.....?
The bitch determines how many puppies - you could use 20 sires and still get the same amount as using one sire.

I seem to remember from the briefing I got that the central piece of equipment is an ice pick.
Ice pick?
You use that on a cow not a dog !
-
Yes, I have them in the van and house.
I have the instructions, have seen it done at vets, been to lectures and discussed it intensely with vet and friends who have experienced it (I have lost a dog to bloat)
I used to sell them but far to many idiots out there would use it to save money rather then go to a vet.
I travel often with the dogs and we don't always know where a vet is or if we are close to one, it may buy you some extra time if you are lucky.
