  1. Just an update as its been awhile since Ruger finished his chemo :D Not much to report as he is going great... only the one day of vomiting after his treatment but that was it, still the big happy boofhead hes always been. Definately worth going ahead with the chemo to have my boy still happy and here with me May be nothing?? but after he was diagnosed with cancer I realised Asia had been sniffing the back of his knees, where the lymph nodes are, a lot during the weeks prior and trying to cuddle in close to him which was out of character for her... she has just started again to sniff, cuddle and whimper when close to him. Although he sees fine he will be off to the vet soon for a check as I have no doubt by her behaviour that he may be unwell again
  2. Awww great photos KM Gandor looks to have settled in well and Im sure Vic will be so happy that Gandor has gone to a great new home with another Elkie! :D Igor the now 6 month old Elkie will be off to his new home on the weekend also with another Elkhound
  3. Any one that joins the Woodcroft village meats facebook page is welcome to a FREE bag of fresh beef bones every week...just join our page and come in and mention the free bones and you are more than welcome to these great treats for your dogs.......because a dog without a bone is like a day with out sunshine :D If anyone going to the next DOL meet would like some bones please send me a PM and I will bring some with me. My brother is a butcher and has so many bones that he has to throw them out, such a waste.
  4. I can foster 1 pup and so can one of my carers. I can also pick them up in the morning.
  5. Italian Sheepdog = Bergamasco If you do a search on Dol you should find my thread with photos. I went to visit the breeder & meet her Bergamascos last year! I will be getting a Bergamasco pup if there is another litter later this year
  6. Is the meet still on for today? I will be there with Asia and Tara
  7. Congratulations to all the winners of the MDBA awards An excellent night again and it was great to meet dolers I hadnt met before, a few winners from our table, Erny Grumpette dogslife mag :D Very well deserved and lovely people :D
  8. Maybe send DBT a pm. Shes in Mannum but Im sure she does come to Adelaide fairly often
  9. You can still attend show handling classes with your dog, I did with my desexed dog just to learn even though I had a huge wait until I could get a dog to show I plan to go back soon so Im ready for when my first show dog comes later in the year!
  10. Kerryn from Westobri kennels in SA owns Clumber Spaniels, Im sure she would be happy for you to call her to ask about her Clumbers http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/member...name=WESTOBRI01 Depending on where you are in SA, you could also ask when she will have them out at a show and go and meet them there. They are beautiful dogs
  11. Hi Miss Squish! There certainly aren't any 'commercial' options in/out of Warrnambool to freight a dog. None of the on-road animal freighters travel via Warrnambbol between Adelaide and Melbourne either. Best bet would be to meet half way unfortunately, unless someone here happens to be making the trip but that's unlikely. There are quite a few Shar Pei around town so I'm sure the little one will make some friends! Edited to add.... I am a breeder and whenever I need to send a pup to S.A I have to drive 3.5 hours in the opposite direction to put them on a plane! CRAZY!!! for your relply jerojath. I drove from Adelaide to Keith to meet up with "Bellas" new owners. Shes now very happy in her new home in Warrnambool :D
  12. Care Credit accounts through GE, are 6 months interest free! Southern animal hospital at Morphett vale does these accounts
  13. Hi Warrnambool people ;) Hope you dont mind me asking in here, but one of my Rescue dogs, a Shar Pei pup will be going to a new home in Warrnambool very soon and I was just wondering if anyone knows what transport options there are to get her to her new family? She will be coming from Adelaide if I have to I will drive her half way to meet up with her new owners but just wondering if there were any other options? Thanks ;)
  14. If anyone ever has any problem with my dogs, please let me know, so I can address the issues Although my rescue dogs have been temperament tested before coming to the meets, Its important I know all I can about the dogs, before placing them into their new homes so please tell me. I wont be upset Thanks!
  15. Ill be there as usual.. not sure if I will have a dog with me though
  16. The Virgin Blue freight is no longer across the road from the terminal, it is now past Ikea which is probably no longer walking distance. Not as easy now to get a coffee from the terminal while waiting for a dog to arrive Ive flown many Rescue dogs into Adelaide with both Qantas and Virgin and both have been excellent with no issues at all
  17. I should be there around 11:30 Snook , so can give you a hand
  18. KHM- you wouldnt have a hammer you could bring tomorrow for the fencing ?? I cant find mine I also have packed the clam pool in the car and Im bringing a fruit platter Sorry in advance, but one of my SS pressies hasnt arrived in time for the meet but should be here early next week, so can send it on then
  19. As it does get extremely hot here in Adelaide, the dog will be kept indoors during the heat of the day and walked early morning and late afternoon. If its too hot to show we just wont go as there will always be another show. The pups in my photos are about 18 months now and are a long way off having full flocks, so should cope just as well as any other coated dog
  20. Bergamasco puppies playing I just love the merle pups, stunning!
  21. yes they are like this, very much like the Shar Pei
