  1. So she is entire, possibly you are hinting she is on heat and she recalled to a number of cues. Is that it????
  2. Be interested too see how he goes. We had a Stafford on cortisone for 5 years continuously for 5 years and periodically prior. He lived until he was 15 and died from something unrelated. Some dogs do have issues with it, others do cope okay. I hope he copes well and improves quickly

  4. I definitely would if closer. I have two dogs getting titre tested next week.
  5. Do you have the dogs pedigree papers?
  6. Dog run, heavy gauge mesh, tin roof. Simple.
  7. I do get it, I have owned dogs of these breeds, however they were looking for two very dangerous dogs. They needed to find them, they need to describe them as how a vast majority would see them. They are what they are.
  8. I am an avid risk identifyer. I am a negate the risks before it happens type of person. I have nearly died once and would have left a newborn and 2yo. I don't want to leave my children without a mother.

  10. I see your point, however in this case they were looking for Stafford Cross looking dogs. What they actually were doesn't matter. If my shorthaired working Border Collie went missing I would say I was looking for a Cattle Dog Cross. He is a Tri coloured shorthair with heavy ticking and just about everyone asks if he is an ACD cross

  15. The brother is an absolute hero. He should be nominated for a bravery award. I have kids that age, they are not small. To act as he did and physically manage that is amazing. Not to mention he was being attacked as well. I believe he is the reason she survived. I believe the woman should go to jail for attempted manslaughter or something equal. She is a disgrace. If my dogs did that they would be euthed immediately. Get help an ambulance dogs restrained all that, then immediate euthanasia. I do doubt however, I would ever have it happen as I would never risk my dogs or people
  16. Isn't it completely disgraceful. The dogs should never have been off lead, she obviously knew they had issues, and then bolted and hid them. She has monumentally let down the girl and her family and the dogs. A disgusting excuse for a human.
  17. Rangers this evening swooped on the home of an Eden Hill woman whose dogs allegedly attacked the girl at Success Hill Reserve about 4.45pm on Friday. The girl remains in a stable condition at Princess Margaret Hospital after surgery at the weekend. She suffered significant injuries when the dogs bit her face, head, back and legs. Some of the bites exposed her muscles and tendons. The girl’s 16-year-old brother intervened and held his sister above his head but he too was attacked by the dogs.

  19. Vets cannot/should not share client information regarding any animal they have seen unless the client has given permission for the information to be shared. That is quite normal. If you don't mind me asking what was little Beau's final diagnosis/s if you got any? You have been through the wringer and treated unfairly. I am very sorry you have been put through this debarkle. This is the ultimate heartbreak situation when obtaining a new family member and is so very unfair. The breeder has repaid the purchase price as he should, however I still think you should notify the relevant registry. Obtain copies of all vet work/reports and all notes pertaining to this puppy. Very occassionally "shit happens" especially when you are dealing with live animals. It is how the breeder responds to those moments that defines a quality - or not - breeder. I am not saying a breeder should throw money at the purchaser and refund vet fees as soon as they are contacted, however some empathy, support and help goes a long way. Ultimately what you do is up to you and how you feel. I always believe that if I can stop someone else going through what I just did then it is worth it. However not every9ne can put themselves through that and that is okay as well. I hope we get lots of updates and photos of your new baby and I know your new baby will go a long way towards repairing you and your families hearts. I really feel for what you have been through.
  20. Geez poor bub if it's not one thing it's another. Great news he has gained some weight. Fingers crossed for more positive updates. Thinking of you.
  21. I believe they were going to implement a ban however it was not feasible due to no other means of replacing the procedure. Pain relief etc was then brought in as a viable alternative until another method could be used that was a practical alternative.
  22. I will fight pretty much anything animal libers - yes I include the RSPCA - try to do as they are slowly but surely chipping away at their ultimate end result. I do not do calf roping,I have seen it but not for some time now. They tey to ban bull riding as well, that is ridiculous.
