  1. It would be great as a "show" dress - I might get one :) maybe I could start a trend  I really dislike the shiny shirt suits show people wear- they put me off showing. I have been watching Crufts and even there they wear nice pants and tops.
  2. If it is only a recent issue could she be going through a fear period ? My Borzoi was jumpy about tiny birds, vacuum cleaners, motor bikes and most other dogs at 11-12 months. I thought I had broken my beautiful calm boy. He is now 15 months old and nothing bothers him- he is back to his calm cuddly self :)
  3. My beautiful Bosco was chasing insects and I managed to catch it with my mobile :) Love my silly huge boy !
  4. Just because they are so beautiful to watch :)
  5. What about a rare giant white tiger kangaroo yak cross
  6. I have a male neutered cat who gets his lipstick out regularly and has a thing for fleece. He drags anything fleece around humping and dribbling with a glazed look in his eyes. In contrast my huge male dog is a delight
  7. So sorry to hear this Pheebs - it is terrible - we went through it some years ago with a not quite 5 year old deerhound - lots of hugs and understanding thoughts for you.
  8. I get mine from Puppingtons https://www.facebook.com/Puppingtons

  10. Bosco frequently has problems with chairs/hammocks, sofas
  11. I think you are on to it there :) they are very cute !
  12. I have 2 dogs and a cat-dog ! works well for me :)
  13. Bosco grinning in his sleep  - love this silly dog so much :D
  14. Probably not too unusual but I've started agility with Bosco my young Borzoi - except he can't fit in the tunnel  sees the A frame as a great perch to view the world  and can't understand why he should jump when he can just step over - most of the others are working dogs.......
  15. Thanks GrufLife :) i think I will invest in a pair a Wahl Super Trimmers - cutting matts with scissors from behind ears is fraught with danger
  16. I am another one looking for just a trimming clipper. My Borzoi has developed matts behind his ears - my Lappie gets them too. So I thought a cordless trimmer would be good - is there any reason why a human set can't be used on a dog? The dog ones are so expensive.
  17. Love all the stories - my boy a Borzoi is almost 10 months old and has done all the peeing on his white front legs bit. Yesterday for this first time he lifted his leg on a bush then proceeded to pee all down the non lifted leg
  18. I was in a similar position earlier this year. Keely my older dog had very bad arthritis, was on lots of pain relief but still getting grumpy. Jaana was devoted to her and we couldn't leave her at home without Keely without her howling and crying. So I got Bosco a Borzoi pup and sadly had to give Keely her wings a couple of weeks later. Jaana still missed Keely - she went very quiet and was sort of flat for a while but there was also a change in the human pack too - she has bonded really well with Bosco and they are now best friends.
  19. What a great thread ! I love Jaana because she is my beautiful chatty opinionated independent girl ! And I love Bosco because he is my super cuddly, funny, lovely clown !
  20. My mother was a vet so everything was labeled "veterinary use only" - our headlice was treated with feline flea powder and she once wormed me with canine pills
  21. Great news - nothing like happy poo - I was worried the wrapping had one of those little metal clips .....
  22. Lots of people think my young Borzoi is a poodle X because he still has his puppy curls and therefore of course he won't shed !
  23. Maybe it is not getting through customs - I got some from my vet.
