The amazing thing when I picked her up from the breeder in Orange was to find out that she's born the day after Tonka died. Isn't that kind of magical? Sheer accident

I wanted to introduce my new little girl Frankie. I need to have a dog so got her a few months after Tonka passed away. My first ever puppy

Approaching breeders to see if they have retiring adult dogs for a pet home is really a great idea. That is how I got Tonka my papillon and Penny my ragdoll....both were 3 years old and are still going strong into old age!

I am currently traveling in Scotland and had the pleasure of seeing a Westie in the West Highlands. It occurred to me that they may originate from this very area. The cute thing was he was with his owner and came with us on a cruise of the Loch Ness. Dogs are allowed many places here that they aren't in Australia .

So this week twice now my little papillon Tonka has had a kind of episode or turn. I notice because he suddenly starts trying to get on top of me and appears anxious and clingy. He can't seem to be still and paces with the occasional jumping as if he has a sudden pain or sensation. It does seem to pass after half an hour to an hour. He is panting and wining a bit . He is 13 soon and the first time it occurred i did ring the Emergency Vet and was advised to monitor him. I kind of feel it isn't severe or frequent enough to take him to the vet. I had a full check uplast year with bloods and everything was generally good. There was mention of him possibly having very early Cushing Disease I think?? Anyway it is my first experience with an aging dog. I thought he might be dying the other night. Today was less severe.

Yep, 15 kgs in both my recent unit complexes. Yet a terrier may be way less suitable for unit living than a great dane or big dog??? Fortunately, I have not seen this enforced so far. I tried for "CAn I have up to 15kg's of pets...1 x 4kg papillon and 1 x 5 kg rag doll and I could have something else?" My strata manager laughed :D

This is my big concern/ worry, about how the Greyhound breed lives on now that the industry that breeds the bulk will close down?? I always had a Greyhound in my future

I'd put my dogs down too before handing them over to places like the RSPCA. Absolutely Well being so ready to put your dogs down is the easy way out, no responsibility taken to find a solution.
