  1. I have always got my deliveries on time from them.
  2. I just drop them in with there dinner. I have labs though they will eat anything.
  3. Basically it was all old news to me I thought they were going to give some new info. The recalled foods can easily be sourced on the net as their has been lots of discussion on food recalls on US dog sites.
  4. LOL funny looking cats you have there Mokhahouse Ha Ha given half a chance my dogs would eat the cat food so might as well just have their pics up.
  5. Wow that is unbelievably cheap. Are you sure it is 750gms and not 400gms as I have just checked www.clipperworld.com.au website and the 750gms is $150.00 & 400gms is $73.00 - this pricing doesn't make sense as you would be better off buying 2 x 400gms for $146.00 rather than the 750gms at $150.00 if you were ordering this product online . Just checked my last two invoices, remembering I go instore to buy and it is 97.34 + 9.73 GST so 107.07 that was price on 17/6/2010 sorry I had just looked at the product price forgot GST. It is definitely worthwhile me popping in to the store then rather than ordering online. I will keep your links just in case it ever goes up.
  6. Glad to hear Penny is ok, I hope the swelling subsides quickly and she has no lingering problems. Honestly cant think what else you could have done in such a situation. So glad it wasnt any worse.
  7. I buy my jointguard from clipperworld in cranbourne. I get it cheaper than the above two quotes when I go into the store to buy it. Not sure of the online price but I get the 750gm for under $100
  8. I am sure there will be lots of opinions on supplements. I have a lab with ED and HD and we use Joint Guard. Its easy to use just sprinkle it on his dinner. I also give fish oil as well. You can buy the joint guard on line. For my other lab I just buy human glucosamine/ chondroiten capsules just as a preventative as she has no problems. Mokha also has cartrophen injections from the vet which have been really successful. The combination of the joint guard and cartrophen is working well for him.My vet recommended a product called Glyde but I believe it is quite pricey. I have not bothered because Joint guard seems to be doing the job. I hope you can find something to help, I can not imagine not being able to take the dog to the vet for help. My two love to go.
  9. Great update. A special thanks to Chris the foster carer. I can imagine the thought of coming home to his dog has encouraged him through his recovery.
  10. I used a spray bottle on Mokha for biting when he was a little older than this, only ever with water and as a last resort when other things hadnt worked. It only took a couple of sprays and the biting stopped. He is not afraid of spray bottles, in fact will carry one round the house but it did work quickly stop the behaviour then he was rewarded of course for correct behaviour.
  11. When you are passing by Pakenham you can turn off at Koo wee rup road go right then left on Bald Hill Road and there is a Petstock there that has a good range of Eagle Pack. I think they sell raw food too. Not sure if it is chicken though.
  12. Glad to here this wasnt true. My cats love their canned food.
  13. If the club does not hand over the owners details I would think you would have to tell them you will have to sue the club. I would be completely outraged if this happened to me. I can not believe that she just joined the class without bothering to see how you and your dog were. She should be expelled from the club.
  14. Thanks Didles, now I remember the original thread talking about this particular op. Mokha was too old when diagnosed for this option. I hope Winston continues to do well, it is hard making the decision as to operate or not. I know we agonized over the TPO for 6 months before making the decision on advice from the specialist not to go ahead. I am so glad we did the elbow surgery though. Like Winston we saw immediate improvement. I hope things continue to go well, I bet he is loving beach walks.
  15. Glad to hear all went well with the surgery. Did he end up with the TPO. If so I would love you to keep updating us. We had considered this surgery with Mokha but our specialist felt he was doing well enough without it at a year old. He is two today and there are days were I can see he is struggling. He had surgery on his elbow only at this point. We are looking at a hip replacement possibly down the track. Continue to be careful with him. Moderate amounts of exercise every day are the way to go. We can really see the difference in Mokha if he does n't get that exercise. I hope things continue to go well for Winston.
  16. The only time I gave one of these to Mokha he spent the rest of the night vomiting up bits of it. They splinter and I would never buy one again.
  17. Molly will play with any dog, she just loves to play. Mokha before today I would have said mainly labs, rottweilers, vizlas and ridgebacks. He is not so keen on small dogs to play with. All breeds he had a lot to do with as a pup. He made a new friend out walking today and the match was perfect. Finally another overly enthusiastic canine with a gorgeous personality. It was a 3 year old boxer. Absolutely fantastic dog and Mokha loved him.
  18. Mokha once expressed his glands all over the front door. He got his foot stuck as the screen door was closing and the fright/pain made is glands let loose. He has an ongoing problem so I am used to the smell now, baby wipes do a good job wiping it off.
  19. I love the way we in the Veterinary field come up with impressive names for things I know it makes me laugh. My poor dog and psychological condition. Sounds much better than he is nuts and drinks too much.
  20. It occurred to me that maybe the pup is cold in the laundry so not settling down. My two sleep in the laundry because they like to, we have the same set up with the dog door and baby gate but we always shut the dog door at night because it can be quite drafty and cold with it open. If I left it open my two would wander around during the night, not something I want. If your pup can hold on all night I would shut the dog door and put down some extra blankets and the raised bed is a good idea.We have a ducted heating vent in the laundry but even with that it is not as warm as the rest of the house. If the pup is going from the warmth of the house to the laundry and it is not warm enough in there I can understand why he would bark.
  21. anniek you are so right. One of my favorite memories is a trip to the beach where it was absolutely pouring. Having labs they couldnt care less and we had a great time. Not another person/animal in sight. My hubby didnt seem so impressed though.
  22. Wet weather never stops us.Thunder and lightening not so keen on but you can always find a break in the weather. I love winter you can walk anytime of the day its summer that I hate. I only like to take them out in the early morning or dusk due to the heat.
  23. Mokha used to drink excessively as a pup. He too came from a pet shop and they never seem to have enough water available to the pups. I have complained about this to them. Our vet did lots of tests to make sure the excessive thirst/urination was not a medical issue. All was clear and she said he had psychological polydipsia, which basically means its all in his head. We had to measure his fluids and put his bowl down at intervals during the day. He got better with age and now only drinks to excess if he is anxious or stressed. The vet said it was important to rule out physical causes before restricting water intake so I would suggest a quick trip to the vet to discuss this problem.
  24. I have the boomerang tags. I love them. They dot get in the way and you can fit heaps of info on them. I have 3 phone numbers and my dogs name and our surname on ours. They dont come off unless the collar does.
