  1. I am a bad mum as work is so busy this time of the year...

I can't believe it has been a year though, it feels like yesterday. Bob has been such a good boy and we are so so grateful to have him in our lives. How many greyhounds do you know who can cope with wild rabbits hopping through their yards all the time LOL. I can honestly say I don't think he has any prey drive at all. I wish I could find out if he raced as that would be really interesting!

He is still full of life and if I am 5 minutes late with dinner he lets me know by chewing on the corner of his bed :mad :mad :D :D

We do love him to bits and I will get some anniversary photos on the weekend :D He's so healthy for a 13 year old, someone obviously looked after him!

  2. I am just wondering if anyone uses this and if you buy it from OS? I recently bought the skin and coat formula from Amazon but the tracking is saying that my order is help up in the customs clearance process

Is there a problem importing this? I didn't think there would be as it seem available in Aust, I just didn't want to pay twice the price for it :(

  3. what about that Paws for Life, their shipping charges seem pretty reasonable and they were selling the HS $30 cheaper than what I bought the last bag for at PetBarn. I think I will order through them or the Natural Pet Store next time.

I use Holistic Select and love it. Very exxy though :(

  4. I use this on my horses tail and it is great but have found something even better!

I am now using a shampoo called Lucky Braids and it is AMAZING!!!! My horse has a thick tail that gets all these twists in it. I used to shampoo, condition and then use the CB magic. Not any more, just the shampoo does the job. It is seriously fantastic stuff.

This is the lady who makes it in the US - http://luckybraids.com/

In Australia I buy it from Kerry Mastermann, she is the local aussie reseller. This is her fb page - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Top-Turnout-Australia/149308055235143?fref=ts

It ges a huge rave from me

  5. You sure it's real? I get bogus notifications from things I don't have an account with. They look genuine but aren't.

(oops, that doesn't explain the emails)

I originally did think it was bogus until I started getting the newsletters. I'm livid that I apparently need to unsubscribe from twitter emails when I have never been on twitter!

  6. Nope, I have never heard of your group until I got your emails and twitter spam. I am also not on twitter so completely confused why I need to unsubscribe from twitter because you want me to join? I'm not on twitter, have never been on twitter, have no intention of signing up for / or signing off from twitter. You've been sending these for months.

You emailed again tonight, here's a screen grab.

  7. I am being spammed by them in my email but have never heard of them, nor did I sign up to their email list. So, how did they get my email address?

First it was a barrage of emails asking me to follow them on twitter, I don't do twitter. Now emails etc and I am supposed to unsubscribe from something I never signed up to

    The spam I am receiving says this is their address;

    Our mailing address is:

    Fresh Start Rescue

    Beenleigh road

    Sunnybank, Qld 4109

  8. Has anyone ever had a dog have a reaction to Advantix?

We treated all 3 of ours last night and one of my dogs is really our of sorts today and his skin seems to be irritating him? There are no fleas on him and we only gave them the treatment as there have been tick cases in the area. He keeps jumping up and rushing to me and seems annoyed by something

This dog has also had horrific skin over summer and we had been at a loss to work out why. I am now wondering if the Advantix could have been the issue? His skin is almost back to normal and prior to last night his previous treatment would have been early March?

I've never heard of reactions before and it never even crossed my mind until I started watching him this morning.....

  9. I hope your neice is ok WP.

Love the pics  looks like Pepe has won the old man over :D I love seeing photos of Bob so please post away, with the amount of greys needing homes at the moment this thread just makes my heart sing.

I'm surprised you didn;t hear her from your place. Poor little thing fell (was pushed accidentally) and landed face first :(

I tried to send a couple of the pics through to the shelter today so they can see he is settling in and very happy

  10. This was posted on a lot of the NSW Police FB pages on 18 June;

    ****DOG FIGHTING HOAX*****

Since early 2013, there has been a lot of talk amongst the community regarding a post on Facebook, warning dog owners about dogs being stolen from households that are allegedly being used as bait for illegal dog fights.

The post has gone viral and there has even been an article published in the newspaper. The newspaper article claimed that the RSPCA were investigating the matter along with police.

The post warns dog owners that a dog fighting gang is stealing dogs by marking houses where dogs live with coloured stickers/orange plastic tape/coloured tape so that the dogs can be later stolen.

Police would like to stress that this is a HOAX and is completely UNTRUE. The hoax originated in Western Australia and an identical hoax was also reported in England.

After speaking with the RSPCA Media Liaison Officer, police can confirm that the RSPCA have not received one single report of dogs being stolen for a deliberate act. There has only been 1 report of a stolen dog in the Hills area and 2 reports of stolen dogs from the Hawkesbury area this year.

Police are urging the community to delete the post from their wall to stop the spread of this hoax.

  11. He is gorgeous! He has also reinforced my long term thoughts that we would take on older dogs in need :)

I'll get some photos showing his healthy coat and weight  That photo was taken after I was coming back from giving next doors cow the hay from my shed floor. She always gets my scraps  Bob thinks she is a freaky thing and wanders down to the fence to see what I am doing

Those flowers are everywhere. This property has been let go a bit so I suspect they have not been divided for at least 4 or more years. Soooo much gardening
