  1. I have a morbidly obese 14kilo Maltese boy who arrived in to care today from Wagga, the previous owner has feed him over the last 12 months (he is only 12 months old) a kilo size lasagne regularily, he has a cough (not surprised) can anyone advise me the amount to feed him so he loose's the weight slowly.

I will be taking him to my vet on Monday but wanted to start him on a reduced diet ASAP, apparently he wakes at 3 in the morning and will eat anything he can, wooded table, legs off chairs, he will be in a wire dog crate tonight and the only thing he will have in there is a blanket, hopefully he won't eat that.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. I had to put one of my fosters to sleep tonight.

Snowy was a surrender from Wagga pound approx 8 weeks ago and this poor boy had a few issues, great with the other fosters, good with people up until 6.30 tonight, he had growled at me last week while I was cleaning the black gunk out of one of his eyes, I let that go then when I did it again tonight he bit me twice, I had to make the difficult decision to have him put to sleep as I could never rehome him and I could not keep him as I would never be able to trust him again.

RIP  Snowy you are no longer in pain and the stress is gone.
