  1. I've been using the Dr Zoo (MooGoo) products on my cresties for a few months and they seem really good! http://drzoo.com.au/pet-skin-products.html/ I use the Itchy Dog shampoo followed by the Itchy Dog conditioner which I leave on their skin - I just rub a small amount of the conditioner over them when they are still damp from the wash and then towel dry them.
  2. Those are my just my 7D photos sorted into albums, some by lens type :) But, if people have tagged photos you will be able to search Flickr by lens - there are also Flickr groups devoted to specific lenses etc. There are also many, many examples by lens type here. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=107 Yes! The old saying of 'Oh wow, you take really good photos, you must have a very expensive camera' is akin to saying to a chef, 'wow you cook amazing food, you must have a really expensive set of saucepans'
  3. Thanks Dogmad, I've shared on a couple of the crestie pages but everything will help ???? I'm not sure if they do interstate adoptions, but it wouldn't hurt to ask if someone is interested.
  4. These two 10yr old cresties have been surrendered in Perth, I so wish I could take on more Please spread the word if you know anyone looking for a crestie or two :) http://www.apswa.asn.au/dogs/maud-and-fi-fi-female-chinese-crested-10yo
  5. I have the 7D and love the fps I can get for things like birds in flight, dogs on the move and surfing shots. Just be aware a new 7D came out a few months ago, the 7D Mark II, but this could mean there are some good deals out there on old stock of 7Ds if anyone has them left. The 7D doesn't have the greatest iso performance, but I have pushed mine and its been acceptable. I've found it a very capable camera for everything from bugs to birds :) Examples from variety of lenses - https://www.flickr.com/photos/56265770@N02/albums Have fun with whatever you choose :D
  6. That's good to see! Two gorgeous eyes
  7. I used it in the UK too - certainly didn't need it for heart worm there either, but it is sold there as a broad spectrum intestinal wormer.
  8. Another vote here for Milbemax, have used it for a good few years now with no vomiting. Drontal often caused vomiting before in the dogs I used it on.
  9. That is just beautiful Pers, and love the low angle with the mist :)
  10. They don't even do a Chinese Crested one, maybe the nudity is just too much
  11. Sounds like you had a fantastic day, congratulations! Great shots and looking forward to seeing more :) We were due to have a weekend of coursing, including another heat of the 'Fastest Dog' comp, but it was cancelled due to awful weather.
  12. Congratulations, they are an awesome breed, love them to bits!
  13. I've been having a bit of a google - does anyone have real life experience of either of these devices? http://www.podtrackers.com/ G-Paws Pet GPS http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/G-Paws-Pet-GPS-The-World-s-Lightest-Pet-Specific-GPS-Recorder-/201059410629?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item2ed01322c5
  14. Haha, I know! Every day she just gets cuter and cuter e.g. She fell asleep the other night with her hood in her mouth
  15. Has anyone ever seen, or used, a pedometer type device on their dog? This is purely for fun, but would love to know how far and how fast Poppy goes on our walks. We go to the beach most days and she does not stop her crazy fast running!
  16. Good work Ping! He is just the most gorgeous little guy I saw this the other day and thought of Ping, albeit the larger version :)
  17. HW, Mouse is our hero, she is just gorgeous and I never miss a chance to fondle her ears :) She's such an all star adventure dog too, such a great greyhound role model! She's the same size as our old Frida so I have a soft spot for her. She's the fastest dog in our club for sure!
  18. Ok thanks SSM. That's what I was wondering about, the 'initial' judges.
  19. I hope you have a fun and successful day Kirislin :) I would encourage everyone to go along and have a try - it's such good fun! We had our competition on Good Friday, Poppy came 5th Unregistered Small and 40th out of 61 in total. Not bad seeing as 'unregistered small' currently ranges from Poppy size to Amstaff/BC size. Full results here - http://www.wcds.com.au/#!2015-april-fastest-dog-comp/cxr0 Some of Poppy from the day taken by Studio Joy.
  20. Happy Birthday Stan, you gorgeous goofball
  21. Look forward to hearing how you go Kirislin :) I was just looking at the ANKC rules and wondered how clubs are going with getting judges - looking at the criteria, it seems like it would be pretty tricky to find anyone matching the below requirements, especially the bolded points? Just curious, as not having participated in any ANKC sports before, how do 'new' sports get off the ground and get judges trained etc.? http://ankc.org.au/media/1093/1809lure_coursing_2015v2.pdf
  22. Cracking photos again Kirislin, love the Afghan in full flight We had our "Fastest Dog in Australia' heat on Good Friday, it was a lot of fun and Poppy ran like the wind - she is so eager and keen for the lure now :D I believe there are still some states left to run their trials for this year's competition, so take your dog along and have some fun! The Australian Lure Coursing Association fb page has some information - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1399559963621860/
  23. I got the Wahl Super Trim Cordless ones after a recommendation by Gruf. They are really good - the charge lasts well, they are very quiet and a nice small size for doing my little crestie's face. Not $35 but certainly a well made pair of clippers. http://clipperworld.com.au/cordless/trimmers/wahl-cordless-battery-operated-clippers/wahl-super-trim-cordless-trimmer-p3703.html I got them as a set from ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wahl-Super-Cordless-Clipper-Super-Trimmer-Rechargeable-Pro-Hair-Grooming-Combo-/131178479727
  24. I have the same as Suzi - the simplehuman butterfly bin. They have a nice strong lid which stays clamped down well. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=simplehuman+butterfly+bin They are not the cheapest bins, but we have had the same bin for nearly 9 years now and it's still going strong.
