  1. thanks for all your comments, we already have a strong bond. but i want to make sure it stays strong, and try to make it as strong as possible. we've started going to a dog club on sundays, we go on nightly walks and play with his toys together.
  2. Does anyone know any good bonding activities?
  3. My girl Suzi passed away 29th of august last year, it was so hard to deal with her being gone there no-one to welcome me as I'd walk through the door. My nanna gave her to me for my 6th birthday, so i had her company for as long as i could remember. After she passed i found it so hard to sleep at night, i just felt so unsafe.. even though she was only a little dog, it still made me feel safe knowing she was there. But every time i thought about getting a new pup, id break down at the thought of replacing her, so i knew i wasn't ready for another. But 7th of May, my boyfriend picked me up after work and there was a puppy sitting on the chair, and that.s how i ended up with my boy. So it was roughly 9 months before i got another pup. I guess everyone feels differently about getting another animal after losing one.
  4. i noticed hes not coming to WA, would have been interesting to go to i think.
  5. yeah, i can see how that would work out. im hoping he doesnt get any bigger than a border collie size. yeah, he was at the vet 2-3 weeks ago which was when he said about him weighing 20kg, and he got weighed 2 days ago and he was at 12.5, so i cant see him putting that much on so quickly. thanks for all the help, i'll have to have a look at his knees.
  6. my partner bought him for me, so no i didnt get to see the parents. he was told that the mum was a bullmastiff x staffy and the father was a border collie x blue heeler. his paws seem quite big, but im not sure as to whether he'll be relatively small, but stocky or big. hes just under 6 months and weighs 12.5kg, the vet said he thinks he'll get to 20kgs within the next few weeks. so i'm a bit stuck on ideas.
  7. Hey, i was just wondering if there was any way to tell roughly how big a mix breed will get?
  8. do yous find that its harder to do it with a pup than it is with an older dog?
  9. cool thanks, i'll check that site out now
