Anyone who has ever used a correction chain has used one. Just minus the pretty bit. The dog can't see the pretty bit.

I used to teach T bone tricks when I lived alone, was bored in the evenings. He loves the interaction and we used to play all sorts of games together. Hide and seek was a great one but I could never teach him the concept of hiding himself. He was great at finding me though. The other dogs just do normal obedience commands but T bone is different. He has a real working drive, is a bit of a clown and has a great aptitude for learning new things, even at 7 years old.

The better quality ones rock at higher ISOs. The 5D works beautifully on 3200. I know that's out of price range here but just an example of how better quality camera = more flexibiity.

I don't think they are. Get yourself something decent - you'll need about $2000 or so to set yourself up with something that's a nice quality with a lens or two. The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 is a DSLR-style camera with a massive 30x optical zoom lens and 10 megapixel CMOS sensor. Offering a focal range of 24-720mm, the Fujifilm HS10’s 30x lens has a twist-barrel manual zoom control and triple image stabilization to help reduce camera shake. The FinePix HS10’s Back Side Illuminated CMOS sensor offers a 200% increase in sensitivity over a conventional CMOS sensor. The HS10 also offers 10 frames-per-second high speed continuous shooting at maximum resolution, full HD movie mode (1080i) with stereo sound, a Super High Speed Movie function to freeze the action, 3” tilting up or down LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder. The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 will be available in March 2010 at a retail price of $499.95. Doesn't look like you can change lenses etc

OK I am starting this thread to keep me honest. I need some motivation to get back into hobby photography. I am fairly house bound and have difficulty taking photographic equipment out with me when I do go out because of the two little people and all of their equipment. So most of the photos will be taken around the house which is a fantastic challenge! I have two babies and three dogs so they may be over represented. Every day I will post a photo. Please feel free to constructively critique! I will start with two today. They are nice but technically could do with some improvement. Half of their faces are dark and I may try them again another day with an additional light source coming from underneath.

OK that's BARF off the list then! Any other brand recommendations?

Tattoo In The Ear, After Desexing.

Surely there is ultrasound to detect the uterus and ovaries? -
It's for domestic use and will be used three times a week. So if I get a single tank and provide my own hot water then I'd be using hot water to fill the tank and then using my warm water to rinse the dogs off? I've never really taken notice of how they work!
-
We are going to buy a hydrobath and I'm not really sure what is that I need. I want different washing water to rinsing water and I want them both to be heated so I can wash the dogs in the winter. Is it a dual tank one that I need? Something like this? http://www.thebarfshop.com.au/store/produc...p;cPath=225_226

They can still react to internal sutures. Doesn't sound like your vet did anything wrong - hes treated what he saw and now it's worse - he needs to know that his treatment isn't working. You need to get that poor dog back to a vet. Sometimes an allergic reaction is so great that the area starts reacting to everything that is applied.

What Is She!? And Whats Wrong With Her Skin?
blacklabrador replied to Megs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Looks pure bred to me Ams. Can't see the shit zoo in it at all.0 Care for Cresty skin is just like a baby. Mine used to come into the shower with me. Much easier than hairy dogs. ;) Umm Blab it's been a LOT of years since I was a nanny and I've never HAD a child of my own. So... . . . . . when would you like me to drop him off at your place? :D How would I break the news to OH that there was a third ummm triplet?? Just born a little later (no wonder my tummy was still fat!) -

Zactly. Very typical area for zits too. Just a build up from not being squeezed enough (you gotta love squeezing zits to be a Crestie owner!) -

What a lovely little dog! Can't believe anybody would be stupid enough to breed it though. You will fall in love with how easy their "coat" is to look after Just watch the elastic on that coat - it's rubbing on bare skin there and it could get sore easily. Most of those coat designs are for dogs with hair that protects their skin. Crestie owners usually put their dogs in polar fleece type jumpers. Good on you for taking her on! -
Hi many thanks for the info. Me & my wife only live in medium size house with small back yard. As we used to enjoy walking & cycling our previous dog. We intend to keep a dog again with the same type of activities. Also, we would want a small dog. What sort of of breed would you recommend? Cheers You do realise how tiny a properly bred pomeranian is? They aren't really a breed you can go cycling with.

RIP Bonnie.

Large Dogs And Small Dogs Living Together?
blacklabrador replied to ash&elar's topic in General Dog Discussion
I introduced a pomeranian pup into a household of labradors. She got stepped on a couple of times before she learnt to stay out of the way of their feet. Once that was established it was smooth sailing. She used to hop inside T bone's mouth and lick his teeth. She was the teeniest thing - 1.8kg fully grown running around with 27kg dogs. One night when Mama got bored. -
What about a behaviourist? Whatever you do, do something and put your neighbours out of their misery. It's no fun living near barking dogs and even a dog who might only bark for a few minutes each hour is disturbing if it's loud enough. Your neighbour has said they are barking a lot. I've had issues with three close by neighbours having little dogs barking. Between the three of them there was a dog barking somewhere almost constantly and I was in the middle of it. Conversations with two neighbours actually has solved the issue - one has anxiety issues now sorted by a behaviourist, the other was a new dog who was barking down its backyard and barely being heard by its owners (plenty loud enough at my place though!). Not sure what's happened to the other one but I rarely hear it now. Peace has been restored but a few weeks ago I was beside myself with this constant barking. It's not bloody fair that other people should suffer every day for your decision to keep dogs.
