  1. He's been lamenting that for a really long time now, it's odd that it pops up again every now and then
  2. It was brief, but good. They pointed out that they were overpriced mutts  And had the guy on that 'created' the labradoodle
  3. I think my crates had magical monsters in them, I finally took them down the day I dusted cobwebs off the opening
  4. Is it the tapioca, or sweet potato? Doubt there is corn in it, unless it's in the ingredients list. Edit, tapioca is listed as tapioca starch, so prob not pieces.
  5. This is one of my fave pics of your two playing silly buggers at Katdogs' BBQ last year - this weekend is the anniversary of that awesome event by the way... Boston is being cool about the whole thing - only to be completely photo-bombed by Max doing her flying pug impersonation... lol! T. Best photo ever :D My laptop wallpaper is the one of Sammy divebombing Max, he's in a mid-air leap with all 4 legs spread out in each direction and shes got a "uh oh, this is gonna hurt" look on her face having just landed in the water from another direction (by the look of the wave behind her)
  6. My two pugs love the water, but only go in up to their belly and not in huge waves. One of them barks at, and bites, waves, and the other just runs away from them but doesn't mind being caught.
  7. Boston terriers are hardly a low energy breed.
  8. Where is the War Memorial Rotunda, for those not overly familiar with the area? (I still get lost in there, even though I used to live at the edge of Centennial Park  )
  9. If that's the case, then wow. I'm not sure if that's better or worse, but it's completely bizzare and yes, it stinks and contradicts themselves again!
  10. Uhm, the photos they have of Izzy have different body markings to the original Izzy. I hope someone points that out!
  11. There should be a "nothing" option, as I love my guys sleeping on my bed, even when they sleep on my head and hog the blankets or paw at my face to let me know they are cold and need to get under the blankets.
  12. Electric bark collars are illegal in NSW. No exceptions. Other training, playing with the dog, giving the dog exercise. Many other options to try first. Or even a non-electric bark collar.
  13. Surely growing back it would itch just like any shaved hair that grew back? When my pug had a shaved patch on his back from surgery he used to try and rub it on things when it started to grow back and I don't think it was because it felt pleasant. Can't imagine a whole body like that. Poor little thing, why get a shedding dog if they don't like dog hair Or, don't get a double coated pug! My single coat girl hardly drops a hair, unlike my fluffbucket boy who leaves a breadcrumb trail of hairs wherever he goes
  14. All Natural Vet Care, Russell Lea (Sydney, NSW) http://naturalvet.com.au/ Def no resistance there, it's their preferred method (but they don't push it, however they do assume people going there have some desire for the more natural things ;)
  15. Just read some of the posts that arrived when I was writing mine and this was a good point. Noting how the barking has increased while he has been more confined, perhaps some work on providing mental stimulation for him may help? Training, tricks, treat balls and kongs, other interactive toys are all things that can be done indoors and even with you sitting down for the most part. It may help give him some of the stimulation he needs which he is currently getting by barking. That was going to be my suggestion if the OP has noticed any reasons for the barking, but since I was just instructed to not bother replying again unless I read her posts first, I wasn't going to waste my time with any suggestions.
  16. Recently I think, from not getting enough exercise due to the 40+ c degree weather. Please read all of my post before you reply. Sorry for trying to be of help. I won't bother again. Good luck getting anything here from anyone with that attitude.
  17. Why does he bark? Is he bored, or wanting attention, or wanting to play?
  18. Makes you wonder if it was barking excessivly in the first place... and what measures were taken before the de-barking to try and stop it...
  19. I vaccinate with puppy vacs (including 16 weeks), then the one 12 months later. After than titre testing (my vet is a Natural Vet clinic so this is standard practice for them anyway). If titre showed a lack of immunity, I would vaccinate.
  20. Ah, gotta love that trick! How did he learn it? Do you put him in and out by going over the top, by any chance ;) Instead of a playpen, do you have a room you can secure off with baby-gates (kitchen, or something with lino/tiles?). Or else, compost panels cable tied to the top, as a "lid", so he can't monkey out. And make sure you always have a door in the play pen to use when you put him in and out, rather than over the top.
  21. I got a card from my vet this week saying Max is due for her KC vaccination and I was a little surprised. Do people routinely annually vaccinate against KC? I have to take her in tomorrow for an eye issue so I hope they don't bug me about it, as I had no intentions of doing it, especially as last time she got kennel cough a few weeks after she was vaccinated against it.
  22. Pretend they are a treat, works best if it's given during a training session as they won't even notice the random odd one being thrown in isn't actually a treat. Or else, treat, treat, tablet, treat.
  23. If mine reacted the first time there would be no way I'd be getting them done the second time! Or if even one of mine reacted like that I prob wouldn't be getting the others done.
  24. One of my pugs does this, he's 18 months old so it's not always just a phase ;) Our water bowls don't tip over, they are ceramic, but he 'digs' the water out. Or he sticks his entire head in and puts it all over the floor that way. Either way, he prefers his water on the floor
