  1. A few months ago my dog was attacked by a dog who ran out from his unsecured front yard… luckily being a Husky she has a double coat which saved her from an injury (the dog grabbed her around the throat) sorry but you will get no sympathy from me… man up , pay the fine and hope to god you have learnt from your mistake. Having a typo on the fine doesn’t give you an easy way out… I’m sick to death of self entitled people who have their head so far up their a.. they can’t see the woods for the trees.

I’m so sorry what an awful shock for you. Rest in peace Opal
  3. I fully understand... My Cavalier passed away from SM .... I threw everything at her to prolong her life , I spent $$ to make her comfortable but it wasn’t enough.. it broke me. I really thought I wanted another CKCS but my heart just wasn’t in it... as a buyer watching a loved pet struggling to survive I can’t imagine how a breeder must feel.
  4. I lost Sasha and Lacey this year and I still miss them terribly.. I miss their quirky ways and I even miss their barks. Your right Deeds.. you can’t replace them. We have a new puppy in the house and even though she is a cheeky, outgoing puppy it’s not the same.
  5. Yes I can confirm she is naughty.. she is improving with her toilet training. It’s been 10 years since we have had a puppy in the house so it’s been interesting
  6. This in one of the reasons why I don’t use dog parks.. it’s a disaster waiting to happen. In the past I did go to dog parks but I got sick and tired of clueless dog owners being oblivious to their dog and their behaviour. No one will ever convince me to ever use one.
  7. Yesterday morning Lacey passed away. I knew it was coming as she had CHF but my heart is shattered into a million pieces 3 1/2 months ago I had to say goodbye to Sasha and now Lacey I loved her so much ... she was bossy, she was sassy , she had opinions especially when it came to telling us when she wanted dinner or when she decided it was bedtime. The house is so quiet .. no barking , no nothing I tried to do the very best for her but it wasn’t enough. Rip my darling girl I will miss you forever
  8. He is stunning Kirislin I’m hopeless at thinking up names .. I normally just leave it until one just pops in my head.
  9. My 10 year old CKCS is on Vetmedin and she is on 2 a day... Her appetite hasn’t been affected so maybe there is something else going on, either way go back to your Vet.
  10. Thanks everyone it means a lot ... I got a lovely card in the mail today from Vets4Pets ... they also included a lovely packet of mixed flower seeds.
  11. Thank you so much everyone ... I appreciate all the comments Yesterday I picked up Sasha’s ashes ...we chose an eco urn and I also decided on keeping some of Sasha’s fur, we also got a lovely little candle in a glass pot which was a lovely suprise... AWL and the emergency Vet were wonderful, they were so kind . Lacey has been a bit clingy but that’s to be expected.. I’m also getting used to a new normal, Sasha was my shadow so getting used to her not being there is still a work in progress.
  12. Thank you everyone so very much I am missing her very much.. my heart is broken which only time will heal.
  13. It’s been 2 days but it seems like it’s only just happened... At 6.56 pm on Sunday we had to say goodbye to my darling girl Sasha. She had been declining over the last few months with her sight, hearing and weakness in her back legs.. but the last few days it was a struggle to get her to eat and the Saturday night through to Sunday she just stopped eating/drinking and couldn’t get up or walk. We got Sasha in 2007 at the AWL , she was very underweight but she had a sparkle in her brown eyes that I couldn’t resist... she had such a zest for life.. but she was also a cuddle bunny and was my shadow, she would follow me everywhere. We soon realised that she loved to dig holes and lay in them and was so proud of herself. She hated car rides but she loved Dr Jonathon so knew after a short car ride she would get to see him so she was happy. She loved her sister Lacey so much ,they would play all day but as Sasha got older the playing stopped but Lacey knew and was so gentle with her. Every gotcha birthday we would take her to Petstock and she could pick one thing in the toy isle.. she loved her stuffed toys, it wasn’t unusual to see a toy flying past as she played with it. We live in a flight path and in her younger years she would hear a plane about to fly over and would try and catch it lol. She had such a huge personality which has left the house so quiet, she was either barking or hassling the cat or getting into mischief. I am missing her terribly and it feels like a part of me is gone. RIp baby girl .. I am sure you are up there playing with Kira Sorry having trouble uploading but managed this one.. she hated cameras so most of the photos are of her asleep like this one.
  14. I have been thinking a lot about this lately with my 16 year old .. I love the look of the eco urn.
  15. Well it was a fail ... I started by gradually adding it but she refused to eat it.
  16. Thanks for that Snook.. I will try that next
  17. I went and ordered the trial pack so will come back and update I’m off to the Vet today to see if they have some tinned food I can give her in the meantime... the supermarket one she is loving but it does give her soft stools.
  18. I know what you mean LMO .... reviews can be all well and good which is why I would like to hear from anyone who has tried it on their dogs. Snook thanks it is a bit exxy but it may be worth it , as atm she is hardly eating and she used to love her food
  19. Hi, Has anyone tried Frontier Pets on their dogs, if so what did you think? ? I have been looking to see what I can do to pick up Sashas appetite... she has gone off her dry food, patties, but she will tuck into tinned food ... so I was going to try her on premium tinned food but came across Frontier Pets. The reviews are excellent and I like that it’s dehydrated food.. they do a trial pack so keen to see if Sasha likes it. frontierpets.com.au
  20. She is ok but I have been struggling to get her to eat, she has gone off her dry food so I ended up buying a couple of tins of wet food, not ideal but she wolfed it down, she also loves chicken , so it’s just giving her what she loves.
  21. Thanks Snook .... I have bookmarked a couple so next time I will ask Wow $200 I hope Justice is doing well ?
  22. Good idea... I will ask my Vet for a script for next time. It was just a bit of a shock lol.
  23. For those of you that have a pet on Vivitonin what price do you normally pay ? I got 60/100mg tablets today and it cost me $114 I normally get 2 weeks worth but because they had a supply issue I kept running out so 60 will last a while but I didn’t expect it to be that much. She is doing really well on it so I am happy to keep giving it to her though
  24. My Vet probably thinks I’m neurotic .. the amount of times I have had my dogs to the Vet over the last few months. A few weeks ago I ordered a full blood screening for Sasha as she is 15 now and I wanted to see how she is going.. it showed she is very healthy for her age albeit a bit slow /mostly deaf and can hardly see... My Vet didn’t see the point but he did under my insistence.
