  1. So, I have no idea who I was speaking to this morning before the doors opened, a lovely British Bulldog lady, but she suggested a pet supplies site that I cannot for the life of me remember. "Cheap pet supplies" or "discount pet products" or something like that, all I remember was that it had free shipping. I know it's not much to go on, but does anyone happen to know what site I'm on about?

Budget Pet Products have Free Shipping today on Trampoline Beds / Replacement Mats and Covers as well as a few other things - Not sure if this is the one you are looking for though.

  2. I'm unclear what happened, did the bull arab and ridgeback break through the fence out of their own yard to get to the staffies? Or did the staffies get into the yard where the pups were?

If the parent dogs got through a fence to go and attack the other dogs that seems much more extreme than a bitch guarding her whelping box/puppy area.

Comments on a facebook page from the owner / family of the Bull Arab are saying the SBT came onto their property but there are no comments from the owner of the SBT's in response.

  3. Mine was a beautiful Rottie girl called Raven who I got with my ex in 1991 when we bought our house. She was my constant shadow. I lost her at just over 3 years old to cancer and will never forget the day I took her to the hospital to be operated on, she broke away from the vet nurse and tried to follow me back outside to the car. She was put to sleep on the operating table as the tumour was inoperable and I never got to be with her when she left. I thought they would be able to cut it out and I would have more time with her. I clearly remember the phone call from them and me begging them for a way to wake her so I could get there and be with her one last time to say goodbye. I had her cremated and she is still with me in her urn - she will be going with me when I go, she won't be left behind ever again. I've never been able to even think about getting another Rottie after her and it wasn't until 2 years after I lost her that I could face having another dog. I then went and bought a gorgeous Bullmastiff, Dozer who I had for 9 years. Ive now got Hoover who'll be 9 this year, Crumpet who'll be 6 and Shabby who'll be 9 as well. I've loved all the dogs I've had on my own and when I was younger with my family but there was something special about my lovely Rottie girl that I can't explain.

  4. Hoover and Crumpet sleep on the bed but Hoover gets off sometime during the night to sleep beside it. In winter Crumpet sleeps under the covers for the whole night. Shabby comes in every morning for a quick cuddle and to make sure I am getting up to feed her. I'm probably as guilty as the dogs for doing those things on the list as well so I don't hold it against them if they do. The only thing which is really unpleasant for me is in the morning at the slightest movement from me Crumpet stands over my head shoulder area and rests her face ( big loose floppy jowly face ) over my eyes nose and mouth - so I can't breathe.

  5. I changed vets in September last year after a bad experience with my usual vet with 2 of my dogs. Couldn't be happier - He actually listens to what I have to say when it comes to me taking the dogs in when I believe something is not right with any of them.

    My link

I opted for the 3 year C3 and then we are going to titre test from there on. It's only a small practice with just my vet and a locum when he has time off and he was recommended to me by 6 or 7 people ( one who is a bulldog breeder who I phoned to ask ).

  6. My boy Hoover ( Scottie ) has no problem catching and killing rats, even if they try to hide he will not give up until he's flushed whatever it is out. I've watched him pick up / drag or push items like pot plants / buckets and outdoor furniture out of the way so he can get closer to whatever it is he is chasing. Unfortunately he also kills any other wildlife that ventures into the back yard and is not fast enough to get away - birds / snakes / blue tongues, he is fearless when it comes to hunting things. He does however sleep inside as I have cane toads. Not short coated but I think the hair offers some protection against getting bitten / scratched but I may be wrong. I wouldn't say he's yappy but he can be very vocal at certain times, especially if someone he doesn't know is at the door.

  7. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas from Hoover- the not so happy Scottish elf who is too big to get his legs through his large size elf tunic, Crumpet - the exhausted reindeer who won't even sit up for a photo with stupid antlers on, Shabby - the anything for a treat reindeer and me. Oh and if anyone wants a free elf costume to have next year for their smaller than a ST family member let me know - free postage included.

  8. I have that bedspread too (although someone has chewed a hole in it) and I can see the shop it came from but can't see the blinking name! It has a swirly brown font and they sell cheap homewares at ridiculous prices and used to be well known for their fake brass household accessories like fake brass and leadlight lamps. Nope, name still not coming to me!

Is it Homeart - Used to be called Copperart?
