  1. You can tell what a good and wise dog he was just by looking at that photo. I'm sure you miss him every day. How wonderful to have had such a bond with such a special (and beautiful) boy.
  2. Just fantastic. You are so lucky to be able to see them. Thanks for the great pics!
  3. That is just brilliant. How wonderful! Thanks for putting your pics up :)
  4. I just read about this product on another forum - Dog Ends. They are designed for tails that are bleeding at the end. My link
  5. We give meaty bones (not mammal leg bones) and dog rusks (oven dried ends of bread loaves) plus use a doggie toothbrush and toothpaste (now and then). Large bits of raw pumpkin or whole sweet potato are good too (if you have a dog that enjoys these). I don't think that any kind of treats or kibble shapes would actually clean teeth. The dog needs to slice through something decently large.
  6. You can buy it at pet shops (I know that PetStock have it - not sure if that's the cheapest source though). I have used VAN and found it to be very good (though we've switched to BARF patties as they don't need any prep...mind you, the VAN doesn't need much prep either). Oops - just saw that Donatella had already mentioned that you can get it at pet shops :)
  7. Good choice to go another Lab :) They do have a certain play style ("I'll try to bite your face off then you try to bite my face off then we'll run around like loons slamming into eachother every 3 seconds then we'll wrestle to see who can push who over using their butt while maintaining a stranglehold on the throat"). Two Labs will have a ball together - swimming, snuggling and rumbling. Good times :)
  8. What a lovely photo tribute to your boy. He looks very smart and cheeky :) Had to laugh about your 'using the carpet as a serviette' comment. I'm sure he loved you dearly and would have stayed forever if only he could have.
  9. That is excellent! What a great thrill :) Congratulations on Coco's and your achievement.
  10. He's absolutely gorgeous. I bet you wish the next few days would go by in a flash!
  11. Congratulations on the impending arrival of your new puppy! Generally the next step after puppy school is an obedience dog training club (more fun than it sounds :) ). They will have Kindi classes for pups. What general area do you live in? People on here are likely to be able to recommend a club. Edit: e.g. here is one example in Perth: Northern Suburbs Dog Club
  12. Seriously amazing. Can't begin to imagine what having a dog's sense of smell would be like.
  13. Congratulations on your and Hudson's great achievement :)
