Words alone can't bring him back, but it means so much to me to know that I have the support of DOL behind me through this difficult time. Thanks everyone, I love you all!

Cassie I am so sorry! Since losing our little Loki I haven't been up to coming into the rainbow bridge forum but saw Oakley's name in the menu. I told myself that it couldn't be him

He was such an amazingly handsome boy with the best personality. Run free Oakley.

I am so terribly sorry you lost your boy so young.

It always hurts a little more knowing that they should haev had more time.

RIP Oakley, run free at the bridge. Ask for Barks, he will be your friend.

Hello,

I don't know you - nor your dog.

However, I am sorry for your loss - I can only imagine how you feel.

At least with mine - he was 10 years old, and I knew his time was approaching - but I thought I had another 2 years with him....

But only 9 months - it's terribly sad.

I hope you experience the joy of a new pup soon - once you have grieved.

best wishes

Thanks so much everyone It really means so much to me to know I have all of your support and well-wishes. You are all very kind.

For anyone interested,

is a video I took of Oakley on his last day with us. It simply shows how happy and carefree he was, enough so to let a bunny climb all over him while he's eating. This is how we choose to remember him, as a beautiful gentle giant who would never hurt a fly. Edited by cassie the bernese lover
