Dog Laxatives?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Taking Boris again for another check up this morning and since yesty hes been constipated.

Poor baby walks kinda twisted in and cant *go*

I rang the vet last night and they said today they will give him something to help but I

dont want *poopf* all over my car on the way home lmao!

Dont these lax's work very fast??

I tried feeding him spicy foods with every meal to help but to no avail...

I think all the medications are making the problem worse.

Anyone know of some natural remedies?

actilax is really good i've given that to new born puppies right up to adults and it is very hard to overdose so they end up squirting i've always ended up with soften stools so they can go but never the squirts from it

you buy it from the chemist it come in a big brown bottle i give newborns 1ml and adults up to 10mls depending on their size

Dont feed spicy foo dyou will make him sick if he already has intestinal problems!

There is PetLax available from the vet/pet supplies that you can give no worries. I have heard some cooked pumpkin works a treat.

Some vegetable oil is good as well

Had the same problem with Tictac the other week. Pooing rocks! Rang the vet and was advised to give him some parafin oil. Worked like a charm. Tictac is a Chihuahua and gave him about 5 mls. Would have to be adjusted for the size of the dog.

Hope it works.
