Di will be laid to rest at 1.00 pm this Friday the 28th March at the,

I didn't know her, however she sounds like someone I wish I did know.

My thoughts are with her family and friends. The road will be tuff in the following weeks, months and years.. Just believe that she is watching over all of you and will never truly leave.

I will miss your face at OVCC, your honest and down to earth beliefs of the dog world, which opened my eyes to things I had never really understood. You understood my dog before I did in those early days. Bronte always trusted you, even when I didn't trust her. I think she even grew to like the occasional nose in that place when it was from the beautiful Shadow, YOUR SHADOW. I will miss your doggy stories, always told with such love and humor. My thoughts are with Tony and family but I can't stop thinking about how confused Shadow must feel, he adored you and will miss you as many will. RIP Dianne

Her spirit was standing on a hillside in a field of flowing wheat

And the spirit of her German Shepherd Dogs were lying at her feet

They looked at her with kind dark eyes ancient wisdom shining through

And in the essance of their being their love shone clear and through

Their minds did lock upon her heart as she stood there that day

And they told her of this story of a place so far away

Their tale did put her heart at ease her fears did fade away

About what lay ahead of her on this day

We live among gods creatures now in the heavens

So do not grieve for me my husband & friends as I am with my lot

My dress is a rainbow hue my smile a shooting star

My boundries are the milky way where I sparkle from afar

There are no rounds & wards here and I am not confined

But free to roam gods heaven's with my shepherd kind

I nap the day on a snowy cloud gentle breezes rocking me

And dream dreams of earth and how it used to be

The clouds are full of German Shepherd Dogs and sables do abound

And my old dogs line the walkways just waiting to be found

And even is a ring set up the grass all lush and green

And everyone I gait around becomes best of breed

For they are all winners in this place and have no faults you see

And god passes out good wishes to each one even me

I drink from waters laced with gold my world a beauty to behold

And wise old sable dogs do form my pride to amble at my side

At night I sleep in shepherds paws their bodies protecting me

And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee

So when your life on earth is spent and you stand at heavens gate

Have no fear of lonliness for here you know thats where Diane will wait.

That was just the best. So beautiful. I know my Sheps that have passed are in good hands now.

Dianne, we never met, however you were the one of the first to welcome me to both the MDBA and DOL. May you RIP, kind lady, sincere condolences to Tony and your family.

NOTE FROM THE BRIDGE (author unknown)

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.

But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from the Bridge. Here I dwell with God above.

Here there's no more tears of sadness. Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you

It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight,

God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years,

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;

That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;

Then you can say to God at night... "My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented... that my life was worthwhile.

Knowing as I passed along I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;

Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street with me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go, from that body to be free.

Remember you're not going... you're coming here to me.

I didn't know Dianne ..... only in passing with words across cyberspace. The regard and sadness here at her passing is telling of her standing within the community who were obviously better for her acquaintance. RIP Dianne. Run free with dogs who once knew you and would be waiting patiently to guide you and rejoice your presence in that other world.

Tony - nor do I know you or you me. But I pass to you my condolences at your untimely and sudden loss. May you find comfort in the spirit within the dogs she leaves behind for you to share company with.
