Just wanting to extend my deepest thoughts to you, I have only just seen this thread.

It's hard watching a dog go through cancer, I have been there also and the kindest thing we can do is to let them go when it becomes overwhelming

A Parting Prayer

Dear Lord, please open your gates

and call St. Francis

to come escort this beloved companion

across the Rainbow Bridge.

Assign her to a place of honor,

for she has been a faithful servant

and has always done her best to please me.

Bless the hands that send her to you,

for they are doing so in love and compassion,

freeing her from pain and suffering.

Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.

Help me remember the details of her life

with the love she has shown me.

And grant me the courage to honor her

by sharing those memories with others.

Let her remember me as well

and let her know that I will always love her.

And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,

please allow her to accompany those

who will bring me home.

Thank you, Lord,

for the gift of her companionship

and for the time we've had together.

And thank you, Lord,

for granting me the strength

to give her to you now.

Amen.

RIP Jedda

And Hugs to you ;)

Joanne.

Hi carolyn, so sorry for your loss .

I know how hard your decision was to make, I had to do the same thing with my beautiful boxer boy on new years eve.

I just knew from the look in his eyes that it was time.

I can't tell you when the pain and tears will end, but know that you did the right thing and Jedda is not in pain or suffering anymore.

Debbie

Carolyn, I'm terribly sorry that you have lost your beloved Jedda. Take heart that you did the right thing out of your incredible love for her. I hope she is smiling at Rainbow Bridge, where she is happy and healthy again. No cancer there.

And I'm sure she will wait for you. Nothing breaks such a bond.

But until then, there are many more dogs lives for you to enrichen... and I'm sure that is exactly what she would want.

Rest in Peace lovely Jedda. Bless her, and bless you also Carolyn for knowing when to let her go - and for giving her such a wonderful life.

Hugs to you.

You gave Jedda the greatest gift we can give our dogs at the end of their days.

She's been released from pain in the arms of someone she loved. Run free Jedda. ;)

Don't look on our passing with sorrow;

Don't think us forever gone.

Our bodies are houses once lived in,

Our spirits by now will have flown.

We've finished our time here with you,

But we won't be waiting alone,

We have heard from others across the bridge,

The summons to come on home.

So think of us waiting together,

Healthy, happy and fair.

Till our time to be reuninted

Look into your hearts, we're there

Thankyou everyone.

I've been having a lie down with my other two but its lonely without my big girl.

I miss her so much....

She's literally been my best friend for 10 years we rarely spent anytime apart except when i was at work.

Love and kisses to my little girl...until we meet again and i get to sleep in your bed.

Kisses baby girl.
