LARGE 2 STOREY WATERFRONT BEACH HOUSE ~ SPA ~ GAS FIREPLACE ~ 3 BEDROOMS ~ 3 ENSUITES ~ 2 KITCHENS ~ GENEROUS LIVING AREAS ~ SUPERB LOCATION

Situated right on the shores of the lagoon it is a 1 minute walk from the back door to the dog friendly off leash beach area & a 5 minute beach stroll to patrolled beach. A couple more from our recent trip north. We spent a week at Rippa's Retreat Unit 2 in Beachmere - east of Caboolture. Very well equipped and comfortable and spacious - 2 bedrooms - verandahs front and rea, smaller fenced rear courtyard at rea, but the two units are on a fenced garden area about 3/4 acre - lovely for dogs to have a run. Tiled floors throughout - dogs allowed inside. http://rippasholidayrentals.com/infopage/redcliffe/caboolture-holiday-accommodation

And just south of Coffs Harbour - a delightful cottage - smaller - disabled friendly - dogs welcome inside - fenced courtyard garden (high fence) - set in a quiet area of beautiful acreages. http://wagtailcottage.com.au/

Both of these places had very welcoming owners.

We stayed here (Sany Hollow NSW) a few weeks ago while visiting relatives. We hired a cabin where the dogs are allowed inside but there are camping facilities also. Has a pool and basic play area for the kids. You can also go bushing walking up the hill(the view is amazing) on the property. They do charge an extra $10 for dogs to stay and we took 3 with no problems. It is very rural area with only a pub/ servo but is a short drive to Denman where they do have local farmers markets once a month and shops/places to eat.

We also went to Port Macquaire and stayed in a cabin in a small caravan park. It was excellent. The dogs were allowed inside and the verandah off the cabin can be shut so that the dogs can lay out in the sun and not run off. It is directly across from the water with a private wharf to go fishing. Its close to the ferry and only a few minutes from Port Macq town and beaches. We would def go back and there is no extra charge for dogs.

Not dog related but if you go to Port Macq dont forget to drop in to Ricardoes to pick some strawberries and collect your farm grown tomatos!! Free entry and its a great spot to stop in.

Melbourne

Williamstown Serviced Accommodation - owner Lynne Pike. Has great house in Williamstown that I stayed in with my two dogs with secure backyard. Nothing a problem and the dogs loved it, were able to come into the house. http://www.williamstownaccommodation.com.au/index.html

Wangaratta

Advance Motel http://www.advancemotel.com.au/ It was really good for the dogs.Stayed with my two dogs en route to relocating from Canberra to Melbourne. They were already stressed with removalists, the long drive to Wangaratta, and one panicked doing his business in the room - and on the sheets! I offered to pay for the sheets, additional cleaning, etc (even though I had cleaned the room) - and the owner was just thankful I had been honest, explained what happened. He said it happens and they and new sheets aren't costly. Other accommodation in Wangaratta had vacancies, this place was booked out! Demonstrates there's a market.

Western Australia - Margaret River - Cowaramup region

I highly recommend Silversprings Cottages for anyone wanting a holiday with their dog/s :)

http://www.silversprings.com.au/index.html

Cheaper than most other places we looked at, pets stay free and are allowed inside, fully fenced secure verandah, spa bath, king size bed, great views and in a great location to do touristy things around the south west.

They provided us with a big folder full of information about places to go and which places are dog friendly.

The dogs and I were over in Vicotria trialling a week ago. We had a lovely stay at Eagle Point Cottages

located between Bairnsdale and Paynesville. Dogs are welcome inside - just not on beds or furniture.

What a wonderful place - two new cottages, beautifully designed and appointed - set in large fenced yard (fences about 1 metre high - wouldn't suit a jumper, but chicken wired at bottom. There is a large garden area with attractive trees surrounding the cottages - so fine for leash walking as well. The whole setting was calm and restful.

Highly recommended :thumbsup::thumbsup: .

Hi all,

Just got back from a trip to Young in NSW. We decided to stay in Cowra because I found a pet friendly motel there; the Vineyard Motel. I can't recommend this place enough. It is easily one of the best places we have stayed with the dogs.

It is located out of town, is on a quiet road and is surrounded by vineyards. The motel is a homestead style with lovely verandahs both sides and tables and chairs where you can sit and have a drink/nibbles etc and look out over the view.

Dogs are allowed inside the rooms and there is plenty of area outside to toilet them.

We went down to the Quarry Restaurant for dinner (3 minute drive or a 10-15 minute stroll) and the service was fabulous and food lovely.

I know it must sound like we own the place but we don't. I just wish we didn't have to go to a dog show each morning. Would have loved to spent a bit more time relaxing there.

Take the opportunity while you can as the place is on the market. Just pick up your dog poo so it doesn't ruin it for the rest of us!! :-)

Cheers

Reasonably priced self contained accommodation, fits 4 comfortably (QS bed + 2 x single beds). Dogs are allowed inside (though not on the furniture). Yards are small but securely fenced. Linen and basics are included, along with Playstation and DVD's for the kids.

Both are located in Glenelg, 2 mins walk from the beach front and 15 mins drive from the city. We've stayed in both cottages several times and always been happy. smile.gif

We have stayed at Tantarra Bed and Breakfast at Warners Bay, NSW twice in the past 6 months and couldn't recommend them highly enough. The accommodation is lovely, nightly rate includes a full, home cooked breaky that is to die for, and dogs are allowed inside and treated like family by the lovely hosts - Serena and Kim.

I am sitting at mt panorama at Bathurst rydges! Have come away for a 3 day dog show and it's awesome! When we checked in there was a large trampoline dog bed with a big comfy bed on top as well as 2 bowls of dog food.

Am enjoying a glass of champers in the courtyard with my boy and chatting to the people on the next room with a JRT

If you love the cars....it is a top spot.

Big thumbs up!

Hi All!

We recently returned from Canberra where we stayed at the Mecure (formerly Olims) which was great! We had our JRT and Corso and they were both provided with a bed and toy. We stayed in room 216 which had a great private garden that was a decent size for the dogs to zoom around in that was securely fenced.

Recommended!
