We often go off topic on here :D Although since the topic is WA DOLers as long as it affects one of us (or a dog originating from WA or one of those who wish they lived in WA :D) it is technically on topic ;)

Why don't you tell him to find out how much money the job is worth? For all he knows it is the same or better

Thats ok was worried I was going to kicked out of this thread

Bf is a truckie by trade and he's worked for a couple of trucking companys since coming back to Aus so he roughly knows how much he would get plus the the companys he worked for screwed him over a bit so he's a bit suss about going back to that line of work but im going to keep working on him. I just want a house of our own and settle somewhere for a while and Kalgoorlie is not somewhere I want to settle. Esperance on the other hand :D

Anyone know of dog friendly beaches in Margaret River? If you have any "must visit" places I'd be happy to hear them too :)

Taking Sarge down for a holiday and the owners of the place we are staying says there are dog friendly beaches nearby but hasn't said where and I'd like to do a bit of planning.

Hi, I will be a new mum to a long coat chihuahua in about 3 weeks time, pup will be 12 weeks old by then. I'm just wanting to know if anyone can recommend any good puppy training schools close to my area, I'm situated in East Vic Park. I have stumbled across a few online but haven't read or heard of any reviews. I'm just a tad weary with having my boy around larger dogs etc. This would be my first time attending as well. Could someone please assist me with this. Thank you so much! :D

If you contact paw prints pet training, I highly recommend them don't know where abouts they do their classes in that area but they are accredited dog trainers running a puppy class rather than vet nurses.

 a second for paw prints, if I lived further North that's where I'd go :)

I've watched quite a few of their classes and worked with most of their trainers on some level. They always have more than one trainer in a class and will match play styles when it's time for offlead. All the puppies aren't just running around crazy. If you are wanting correct socialisation for your pup they are a very safe bet, puppies I have seen come out of those classes (from working as a helper and taking bits of the classes) they are off to an amazing start to their puppy hood :) I would definitely steer away from any puppy classes run by vet nurses without a qualification in dog training though.

Sorry I meant in here in Kalgoolie. Hopefully we have found a place here but wont be able to move in for a few more weeks which is a shame becuase we have to leave the guest house were staying at ( I have a thread about that in off topic )

But in some good dog related news Toby had his 12 week x ray to see how hes going since having surgery and ive been told the vet said he was very happy with him and that Toby can go back to running around again

Hi everyone  ....as usual, I havent been frequenting DOL much.....thought I better come in and see how everyone that im not FB friends with is going :) I was in Sydney a week ago, to watch the RR Nationals.....wow what a show!!! A gazillion Ridgebacks over two days..... :dancingelephant: .....was wonderful.....We also went and had a look at the Aquarium in Sydney - WOW!! Great place to waste some time!

So this weekend we headed to Perth to see Mumford & Sons at the Belvoir Amphitheatre :happydance2: Oh what a fantastic night!!

Have done nothing with the dogs for a while, Wandy has been on light duties with a shoulder muscle injury.... No limping now for a good week or so, so she might just be able to get back into getting around without a lead!! Zola has turned into Hunter Extraodinaire (sp)....and now cant go outside without thinking she needs to head off to follow bunny scents!!

After a months holiday I head back to work this Thursday :swear: so not looking forward to that! But I guess it will be nice to get back into some sort of routine......yeh right!!

Nice to see you back in here, LR

I've got some studying to do but all I feel like doing is taking a nanna nap

Had a fantastic night last night at the WA State Obedience trial, felt nice to be back out and trialling, and it being a night time trial! Cracked open a drink, dip and biccies, oh and put my dogs through a few obedience rings laugh.gif

Ruby got an Open pass and Advanced Rally pass, but the best part was just how happy she was all night. Had her entered in 3 rings and she was still happy at the end of the night. Caused a few eek1.giflaugh.gif moments with her antics in the ring but I much prefer that to laggy uninterested behaviour :)

Millie came 2nd in Rally Advanced and pulled off an absolutely beautiful Open round, she just anticipated the recall with extreme enthusiasm laugh.gif Very happy with how both kids performed.

Just got back from a lovely morning out with CrazyCresties at Hyde Park for a photo shoot with my 2 and Pippa. The photos looked amazing from the little camera screen so I am sure to be blown away by her talent when she edits them!

Nooooooo! I didn't know they were coming!!

Was it awesome?? (Must live vacariously through you now)

It was OH SO FREAKING awesome :dancingelephant: :dancingelephant: Best night out for a while!! The other two acts were great as well....Willie Mason (Bluesey) and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes (JJJ play them)...The only bad thing was my aching knee & tailbone from sitting....but hey, small probs really!!

It was very interesting that we got tickets though.....When I first went online to look for thickets, the concert was sold out - DAMN!! Then for some reason I went back online a week or so later and lo and behold, another concert was on...on the Friday, so was their first one....So we were all pretty chuffed that we got tickets, and we got to go to their first concert in Australia :D
