Thanks for the support everyone. Toby is now at Murdoch, ultrasounds show his liver is abornmally small, it's likely congenital and caused by shunt/s. We are getting him back stable then tomorrow seeing an internal medicine specialist to determine what can be done. The specialist told the vet that with lifestyle changes a dog like Toby can live for years, so we are cautiously optimistic that with the help of the specialists at Murdoch and a change in lifestyle Toby will pull through this.

Fingers crossed for Toby, poor love. Cuddles from us.

Tiggy do you kow who that is with as I have never seen anything like that with my pet insurance and it is one of the main reasons I took it out due to the amount of snakes we get down here.

Fingers and toes crossed for Toby RV.

Tiggy/OSS - I would also be interested to know which pet insurance company that is as snakes is the main reason we are insured. Zazu has already killed two in her 6.5 years of life...Luckily not bitten either time.

One of the Bunbury crew had their dog bitten by a Tiger Snake last week in the sand dunes of Dalyellup beach - 4 vials of antivenom later, he pulled through. Very lucky boy.
