Does anyone have a phpne number for an Obedience Club in Camperdown Vic, or nearby. My Sister has a new puppy and is terrific, except for walking on the lead. Feel the Ob Club is the best idea, tried all the usual....

Thanks

Nothing in Camperdown - puppy pre school at the vets occasionally.

Her options are two places at Warrnambool - one at Brierly and the Warrnambool Dog Training School. Otherwise there is one at Colac (1/2 hour away) but I have no information on it. Or Ballarat which is Ballarat Dog Obedience Club which is hour and quarter.

I've been to WDTS - I didn't do puppy class there or Class 1 so I don't know what the lower classes are like. I had no issue with the higher classes, still quite correction based though.

It would be great if Camperdown did have an obedience club...we have a great fenced showgrounds oval that would be ideal...but sadly we don't!

When Jane was a pup, we took her to the puppy school run by Murray street vets in colac and also the puppy classes run by the local vets in Camperdown as we really wanted her to have as much socialisation as possible.

We now go to 'Paws for Excellence' in Brierly at Warrnambool but they are not starting back until school term starts. Its a positive reinforcement training school and puppy class starts at 9am on Sunday mornings. Other dogs start at 10am.

Please pm if you want more info ect.

Modern dog training at Brierly is great for puppies the puppy program starts back on the 17th January (next sunday) and regular classes dont start back till early Feb. Puppies must be under 16 weeks old to begin the puppy program. If the pup is older an assesment is done and then your advised of the class you need to go into. If you would like the trainers phone number pm me.

Maybe we should start one :( Have been approached several times by keen people while working my two, especially if I have agility gear set up.
