Well the time has come....

My pups show debut is almost here.

They can walk fine on a fixed collar but they will be shown on a fine check chain so fingers crosssed they still remember

how to walk. Now standing still is completly a different thing.

I hope everyone elses June babies are doing well?

Well I am back from my trip overseas - got in early Friday morning. Had a great time with my friends over there and was hard to leave but glad to be back home with family, friends and the dogs. Every time I sit down, I have four shelties trying to get on my lap for a cuddle. Ella has grown legs while I was away - amazing how they can change in just two weeks.

Saw lots of lovely shelties over there at the San Diego speciality shows and was made to feel very welcome. Bought quite a few grooming things and clothes, shoes etc Took quite a lot of pictures but some are quite blury (bugger).

Teamsnag - will pm you later to get your snail mail addy so I can send you the stuff from the Dacchie National. Met a few breeders there - Primo & Grandgables who have both shelties and dachies.

  • 2 weeks later...

Our guys are doing well.

Toby in SA has learnt to do his business in a certain area of the yard.

Layla is has too many brain cells, she learnt to jump on the couch or chair.

She has been beaten by Kaycee for baby of breed 3 out of 3 shows so far.

Kaycee needs a couple more brain cells, he hasn't figured out how to jump onto the furniture yet.

He still sits & watches you in the kitchen.

They have been evicted from their c crate home and are now sleeping where ever they like in the lounge with very few messes

during the night.

Shelby, did you see any Schipps on your holiday?

Well Ella is doing well in the showring although she hasn't had a win yet. But she enjoys going and doesn't break gait and will stand & bait so I am happy.

Sorry Blakbelgian but didn't see any schipps at all.

Teamsnag - haven't forgotten your goodies. I just haven't made it to the post office yet. Will try & get there on Friday.

Have just had the neighbour come & complain about the barking dogs so have taken Ella & Kitty over to my mum's until I can arrange anti bark collars. The other two are debarked. He reckons they bark non stop all day long. Have told him that I didn't realise and will try and do something about it. I know when I am here, they barely open their mouths unless there is something to bark at. Just hope the collars work.

TS, am sorry I didn't read your post re us being at Maryborough. I promise not to bite, and don't mind in the least being interrupted whilst gassing. :)

We are coming up for New Year so hope to meet you then. :) Love the photos of your babies at the beach :(

Woot toot Thor was first in Baby Puppy Sweepies yesterday out of a "class" of 15. ;)

Can you beleive how time has flown by, my pups are 5 months old tommorrow!

Had a play date with Miss Energized Bunny "Ruby" formerly known as Shari last week, which was nice, exhausting for me as she just doesn't stop. Always was a handful that one.

Lele is back in season, just finishing up her cycle now. Thank goodness too, it's been kiaos juggling dogs as i rest her up this season. Next will be Mystic, my baby becoming a woman ....l  it's all too much. Hopefully a few months off that, but never know with these toy breeds so keeping a watchful eye.

Since we bummed out with our upcoming hopeful blenheim bitch Bella we decided to breed one more litter with Lele next year, so i'm giving her 12 months break at present. Will definately be retiring her next year regardless of the outcome. For a 5 yr old dog she is still as active as puppy, gives Mystic a run for her money, very cute playing togther.

Ok a quick update from me too...

I had 3 pups hit the showring, which isnt bad for my first ever Basenji litter :) ... I kept 1 boy, the other boy is being shown by a DOLER :p ... The other is a bitch, and she is being shown in NSW...

My little boy, Java, has won 2 Baby In Group's, including at Hobart Royal, and followed that with a Baby In Show at the Hound Club Show of Tasmania  :D :) :p...

The other little boy, Kaos, has done well as well, and he has bagged 2 (or is it 3 ???), Baby in Group's... One of them was under a breed specialist as well ;) :) :D...

Diamond has just had her first All Breeds debut this weekend, and she did well, receiving some lovely comments from the judge, after winning the baby bitch class :p :p...

I have been so lucky to have my kids being campaigned by these 2 wonderful owners, "Thanks Guys" :) ;)...

My pet owners are also the best in the world too, (just wish I would get daily pics from them all :()... I have been truely blessed with all these owners of my first Basenji litter ;) ...

Rajacadoo,

Good to hear that your babies are doing well, both pet and your show guys.

Jess has had her season too, nearly time for her daughter Layla to become a woman too.

Time certaintly flies.

We have come to the conclusion that Kaycee is just not show quality so we are looking to rehome him which

will be hard on me as I have become attached to my little sweetie pie. ;) ;) :o

Unfortuntly he has taken after his father in looks. :D :D ;) ;)
