My thoughts are with Jed and her family in this time of need. Jed & TBCSITW were a great support to me during Darcy's time of need.

Please TBCSITW come back, your mum needs you.

RIP those lost in this horrible tragedy

I feel so silly, sitting here at work in tears over somebody I have never met. But Jed has been such a huge part of DOL, I always love reading her posts. And all I can think about is how she must be feeling, to know that so many of her gorgeous babies are gone.

Jed, I am so very very sorry for what has happened. You and your family are in my thoughts and I am sending as many get well vibes as I can.

To everyone who is helping, thank you so much for doing such fantastic work. We are all with you in spirit. Making a donation now.

I am so very saddened reading this thread. My best wishes go out to you Jed and your family. It is our worst nightmare and one I have unfortunately been very close to myself. About a year ago a friend of mine lost her home and 5 of her pugs in a house fire. She was not hurt physically and one pug survived but the emotional scars are still very much with her. Two of the pugs she lost were my boys and I suffered along with her. So I have a small inkling of how Jed will be feeling when she pulls through this.

My friend found great comfort in letters and cards that were sent to her from all over the world, so maybe if someone close to Jed would be willing to accept cards on her behalf, that could be collected and taken to her. It would be a tangible show of love and support for her. I know we have all posted here but she may not have access to a computer for a while.

Also my friend was distraught not anly because she had lost her "little family" but also her photos ect. Luckily I had some beautiful photo's of her dogs and made her a scrapbook of their photo's along with some poems, a little thing but something that she cherishes. Maybe people who know Jed and have photo's of her dogs could make copies for her or the talented lady who does the photo memorial in the Rainbow Bridge could do a memorial if she has pics

A big thank you to the people who organised the burial of the deceased dogs. I know it will be of great comfort to Jed.

God Bless You Jed my prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to read this post as well

It helps give a bit of an insight as to what Jed may be feeling once she is more aware as I imagine she would be heavily sedated  Some really lovely suggestions also.

burn a candle, for house fire victims

Lighting a candle is a symbol of hope.

The threads about Jed are full of hope that she recovers well & that her dogs & other pets are safe.

It was a fitting suggestion someone made, to light a candle...& raise a glass...for her.

Thank you Mita I was just about to reply when I saw your post, you said it so much better than I could have  I'm afraid I struggle to find the right words sometimes in these situations

to each their own, I just find the thought of burning something for burns victims, not my cup of tea, sorry don't really have the words either to express myself properly

I know what your mean. I thought about that quite a bit. I came to the realisation that many things have two sides. Fire is a wonderful servant - but a very bad master. Just as water is an essential part of life - but also very dangerous in its own way.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

Thank you so much for keeping us updated Steve and Toohey, I know the computer is probably not where you want to be at a time like this but we really do appreciate it.

You and the others doing so much to help are amazing.

I agree. May you all rest tonight and find the strength to do what you need to do when the sun rises again.

I think that's a wonderful idea puglvr. It would show Jed how many people care, and give her a bit of a boost. I can't even begin to imagine what she must be going through  . Sending lots of positive, healing vibes her way

R.I.P to those lost in the fire

I do hope Magnus is found.

I noticed someone asked about sending Jane (? is that her name?) cards, flowers etc. Can anyone suggest where we could send them please?

I was wondering about that also. Can Steve or Toohey give out the address of Caitlin (if she gives permission)? Or maybe we could send them c/- of the Dog grooming lady mentioned earlier.
