These photos are completely adorable.

Max does nothing so cute while asleep - but he does dream a lot. Especially after a big play. Sometimes he works himself up to a yelp in his sleep. Sometimes he wakes us up during the night cause he's thrashing around....

Here's a video of him dreaming... (there's quite a bit of nose twitching going on too, but its hard to tell....)

Our lot seem to specialise in positions that might require the services of a chiropractor down the track.

Firstly, our headless German Shepherd (slept this way from the day we brought him home):

The 'Head one way, twist the spine, butt the other way' position:

The 'Can't fight gravity' position:

The "I could really use a pillow" position:

Just to think he started out like this:

I did actually get a photo of them all sleeping normally in their beds one night:

I'm expecting plenty more photos when our new pup arrives on Sunday.

Dxenion: Your dogs are sooooo beautiful - even the headless one! Squoosh-headed photo made me laugh aloud and GSD puppy photo had me cooing. Also that 'line' of GSDs on dog beds made me want to go rushing over to your house for dog cuddles. :D

KA: he looks adorkable - and strangely comfortable despite the uncomfy position. I love the Kuma Fluff on the dog bed, too. His mattress looks very comfortable - is that a dog futon?

yeah, his fur is EVERYWHERE... oh well.. it's all part of dog ownership, right?

Kuma's bed is actually a cheap arse single bed doona and cover from Big W. Cost $11 for the bed and $20 for the cover. Waaaay cheaper than any of the "dog beds" - especially to fit a 5XL crate. Best part is that it's all machine washable and dries quickly on the line
