Thanks for the link, these Porteen bags are super sexy! I'm going to get one, once I decide between small and medium sizes.

Anyone have the medium one? I have the dimensions but I have trouble figuring out how big that actually is. I only just got a DSLR (Canon 600D) with the twin lens kit... and the bag should also be able to hold my rather chunky wallet and other random bits and pieces.

I have a medium and love it. It holds a camera with lens attached as well as another lens or 2 and external flash.

I'm the same as Piper I have the medium, I can fit camera with lens attached Flash with my cleaning kit (would take up the same space as an extra lens) and then I can also fit my 2 bulky purses

Thanks guys. I ended up buying a medium bag (http://www.etsy.com/listing/78792607/in-stock-geometric-and-leather-dslr). I think it'll be too big for my camera gear, but I'd much rather have too much space than have to juggle multiple bags. I also got a strap (http://www.etsy.com/listing/72275976/brown-damask-leather-and-suede-camera). I hope they ship fast because I can't wait to show them off!

Of all the odd places to find a bag I loved it was in my local chemist. The tag had a website for the company that makes them and it turns out it's actually a nappy bag! :laugh:http://www.bugin.com.au/index.php/products/bugin-out-a-about.html

very clever, it makes sense when you think about it, all the stuff mums need to carry for a bub. I might keep an eye out for nappy bags too.

Okaaay, so now I'm wishing I hadn't stumbled in here!

Those of you with medium porteen gear bags, can you keep your 70-200mm lens attached to the camera body?

I'm wanting a bag that doesn't scream 'camera bag' to hold my canon 7D with the 70-200mm lens on, and space for 50mm and phone, keys etc.

Those porteen ones look awesome and more like a handbag. Not that I use a handbag.

Looking forward to responses.

So I've just sent in my order. I went with the picture I posted.

MnDM, sorry I can't help on sizes! I have my eye on a Nikon d5100 with kit lens and a 50mm so I think the medium will be fine. I'll defer to the more experienced to answer your question!

:o sorry Kirislin... I can't help that they are so purdy!

Someone posted this link in the kindle thread but I noticed they have nice camera bags too. http://www.etsy.com/...tion_id=6585125 I don't think they are as deep as the porteen gear bags though. Still love my custom Porteen Gear bag and 12 months on it is still in perfect condition so I can;t justify another 1 but I do like some of these designs. Might need to get a laptop bag instead...
