It always comes in 2's :) first Kellie, and now her mother has gone to be with her 2 daughters at the bridge

Yesterday "Tara" ~ Wiesenland Zsa Zsa[A][Z] went to the bridge aged 12 1/2 years, for the past 4 years has been the faithful companion to our dear friend Malc. McLeod from Shepparton. Since Malcolm was widowed she has never been away from him and his loss is devastating.

**EDIT TO ADD

I should add here that Malcom is now in his late 80's and he and Alice had had 4 of our G.S.Ds over the years, and she, he insists will be his last. ;) she provided such support to him.

Love and hugs Malcolm and to Tara ~ your Star shines brightly with your daughter

VALE KELLIE ~ A SPECIAL ONE

So sorry for you and more importantly for your old friend, he must be devasted, Tara will be playing with her kind I hope Rileys poem will make you feel better, Tara can share it with him.

I was standing on a hillside in a field of flowing wheat

And the spirit of a German Shepherd Dog was lying at my feet

He looked at me with kind dark eyes ancient wisdom shining through

And in the essance of his being his love shone clear and through

His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there that day

And he told me of this story of a place so far away

His tale did put my heart at ease my fears did fade away

About what lay ahead of me on a distant day

I live among gods creatures now in the heavens of your mind

So do not grieve for me my friend as I am with my kind

My collar is a rainbow hue my leash a shooting star

My boundries are the milky way where I sparkle from afar

There are no pens or kennels here and I am not confined

But free to roam gods heaven's among my shepherd kind

I nap the day on a snowy cloud gentle breezes rocking me

And dream dreams of earth and how it used to be

The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound

And milk bones line the walkways just waiting to be found

And even is a ring set up the grass all lush and green

And everyone who gaits around becomes best of breed

For we are all winners in this place we have no faults you see

And god passes out those ribbons to each one even me

I drink from waters laced with gold my world a beauty to behold

And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my side

At night I sleep in angels arms her wings protecting me

And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee

So when your life on earth is spent and you stand at heavens gate

Have no fear of lonliness for here you know I wait.

So sorry, and the friend who lost her--I can empathise,as my late old Dad had his toy poodle (gift from me)mauled on her own front yard by three much bigger black loose dogs and die, nine yrs and blind from PRA, poor thing-

Been his 24/7 companion most of the 7 years since Mum had died.

I still have his distraught words ringing in my ears whenever I hear of another elderly person suffering a similar loss.:o

Please pass on my sincere condolences, what can one say to comfort him
