Blakes back legs stopped working 3 days ago, I took him to the vet on thursday, but they couldnt help him, except for pain relief.

We had a terrible night on thursday, so I made the decision I didnt want to make.

Blake got his wings at 10am yesterday morning, he went quietly with his head in FiFis lap.

Ann spent some time saying good by in the morning, I sat with him most of thursday night talking to him.

I will miss him a lot.

I have known him for 10 years, but he only came to me when I moved into my home.

He was getting into trouble at Anns.

He was a calm loveing dog, loved his morning amble down the yard.

Loved his food and a good bone.

He had a few homes before he came up here to Ann from BC Rescue.

He spent time with Kali as she grew up and then with Kali, Lockie and Gabbie and Mals two dogs at Skeleton Creek.

The hardship he had as a young dog could be seen in his arthritis.

But it didnt dint his wonderful temprement, although he had been badly treated he still loved people. His whole body would wag when he saw Ann, or when I came home, or when FiFi visited.

He was old but he could still do a slow zoom.

He loved laying in the sun watching the horse next door.

All in all no matter what had happened to him, he still loved life and his family.

I will miss his gentleness, Molly will miss him as will Gilly and Bob.

Our home doesnt seem the same.

His last few days wernt nice and the only kindness I could do was to give him his wings.

He is up there with Timmy the cat who he loved and all my ratties.

Blakey I will miss your love, it often brought me back to sanity.

Thanks Horrie and Pers.

I have never felt as tired as I did last night.

I keep on seeing him at the edge of my eyesight.

So there may still be some Blakey energy here.

Bob is very confused and is also missing him.

He was a lovely old boy GB, a gentle and loving old man.

Eat chocolate, paint, wander in the garden...you'll feel him out there too.....

Here's Blake doing what he did best...just being there in Beth's beautiful garden with a big smile :)
