If you look at the eye you see the reflection of the bars... The eye of a captive wild animal!

My photos are crap! I am removing them and only looking this year!

Nah kidding but mine ARE shit compared to some of them

I am all of a sudden having trouble getting sharpness with my 7d, i am not sure if it is the lens, the settings or me. maybe all 3?

What settings are you using and are you shooting in RAW?

Not in RAW - but i can change that if it helps

I think i have worked it out though - i will have a play tomorrow and see.

And then i will pic your brains! Thankyou for asking because when i checked what it was i had it on AI Focus and i usually shoot on AI Servo

Not sure if that is the issue

No, shooting in RAW makes images look softer, that's why I thought you may have switched. Also shooting really wide open etc. Anyway, it could well be the AI setting.

These are a couple of snaps from my Thailand trip in 2006.

Nice to see your photos Augustine :) The aim of this thread is to take a photo each week during 2012 and post up here.....a good way to get some of us to actually get our cameras out and take at least one photo every week

Love seeing the greys run annie and the muscles really show :D

I'm in!!! I wondered why the birdbath was losing its water so fast.... Were the kangaroos back to drinking out of it? Nope, it was the bodysurfing magpie kids!! After all, it is summer af24bfa4-d8a0-8c8b.jpg Still learning to use Tapatalk ... One of the images should be full size... Will fix in the morning

reposted cos I chickened out the first time.

A pic taken yesterday, apologies for the old face (I wear makeup rarely due to allergies) My hair is dripping wet as yesterday was soooo hot (no aircon) I did all I could to stay cool :)

Snook - I love that photo!!! I don't know why you were worried about showing your face- you're beautiful! Sorry to read that the last few years have been hard... hope you are able to move forward now.

PixieMeg - I wouldn't be able to decide either... both beautiful photos.

Cool pic Mr Red Dog!

Ok, so I have been mulling it over and think that I might give this a crack too! God help me! My aim is to improve my photography skills along the way. I won't be sticking to a particular theme, it will simply be a different photo each week.

So to play catch-up, this is my week 1:
