We're expecting a Lappie litter on or around Good Friday/Easter Saturday.....! (Hopfully the bunny will be bringing more than eggs!) Dam is Tasha (Janoby Clear Future) and sire is Janoby's kennels Elliot (Ch. Janoby Becauase I Am). Expecting black, tan and white colours.

I still don;t have a confirmed pregnancy - but I think she has changed shape, she is ravenous and she is more cuddly - so going on that I think she is. She will be 29 days on Monday - and that's when we are off to the vet biggrin.gif

How exciting Ptolomy :) We have to wait until the beginning of April for our U/S

OSS I am not doing an ultrasound this time (boy I really really want to), but read there was a link between ultrasound and reabsorbsion and that did my head in. I ultrasounded my last 2 litters and didn't have a problem as what we saw was what we got. Have discussed it with my vet and this time we are going by feel???? eek1.gif

I don't do not knowing and I don't do waiting.......... what about you???? How's Rommi going?

My girl should be 4.5 weeks along by now and isn't showing any outward signs of being pregnant, we have a vet check booked for tomorrow, so i think i will get her scanned at the same time.

Thanks! Vet saw 3, maybe 4 on the scan, so that is a relief. After her flight and trying to get her settled into a new home and then having a scrap with one of the dogs here, I was worried the stress would have caused her to absorb the pups but  so far so good!

I am really looking forward to this white litter as the pads, lips etc are pink when born and turn black over the first week, should be interesting to watch!

Congratulations Becks, I am looking forward to seeing the whites.

Ptolomy-rommi looks as per normal!! Only thing she is doing is being a complete food scab. I can't remember if she is normally like that after a season or not?? She is only a couple of weeks in so while I am very excited I am trying not to count chickens so to speak. Another couple of weeks and we will know :)

We are having babies, just not very many. Vet can feel 2, but the girl had a very full bladder - so she thinks there might be 1 or 2 more. The babies are also small for 29 days. She had 5 matings, the first one was day 10, the last day 14 - so may be due anywhere from 22 to 26th

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you OSS - Cider was also a food scab.

The vet has suggested from week 6 that I change the dry Adult food I have been feeding in the am to puppy biscuits because of the higher calcium and phosphate levels. Has anybody done or heard this before?

Oh huge congrats Ptolomy - yay Toller babies.

I have heard it said before and some do it. Some do not. I am planning on keeping Rommi on the food she is on which is BlackHawk Adult dry food plus otehr stuff she gets.

yes, not uncommon advice to change over to puppy food, i change them over if expecting a bigger litter as they can get more calories into them when feeding them. I've swopped more to a raw diet now, so playing it by ear more this time around, plus we are only expecting a small litter of about 3
