What is the purpose of the video and how will it be used? Just be aware that if it is to fundraise for rescue purposes people can be very put off by graphic images and stories intended to shock them into giving a donation.

It's nothing to do with fundraising it is part of a media assignment.

I can send you some before and after pics of a pug but would prefer to keep them off the forum for personal reasons. Send me a message it your interested.

Minnie the Mastiff X came to us from a Sydney pound under duty of care - 8 weeks pregnant (gave birth to 11 pups a week after these photos were taken), and hideously underweight. NSWAR has specialised staff/carers who can look after and rehabilitate dogs in various states of neglect. Minnie wasn't expected to survive, but I think her mental state once in care was a big part of being able to pull her through - she never gave up, and neither did we.

T.

Lovely summary of what got Minnie through. This kind of work is not just helping individual dogs so amazingly, but it must be building up heaps of skills and knowledge.

UQ vet students now have to do a subject called Shelter Medicine which takes in front line work like this. I'd hope so much that NSWAR's experiences are also being spread to all who have to deal with dogs in their worst conditions from neglect and abuse. Well done, NSWAR.

And big hugs for the beautiful Minnie. :)
