Foster Dogs

Recommended Posts

Oh I too love this thread. That last photo of Chimes aka Maggie melted my heart. The change in her eye's from frightened to warm. TLC has worked it's magic again ♡

Good luck girl .... I think you will love your new flyballing home :)

Thank you so much KTB. Your heart & work are amazing....

Thanks guys. I love all of the dogs we've fostered and I love the families who adopt them :) Got some more lovely updates from the families.

Maggie is doing really well and her new mum has confirmed to me yesterday that she has passed her trial adoption and has found her Forever Home :)

And this is Ollie, adopted back in August 2012 - our first foster. He's come a long, long way from the pound puppy with horrible Kennel Cough

New foster dog. Cricket the Kelpie from Broken Hill Pound.

cricket01.jpg

Very timid

cricket02.jpg

Covered in ticks :(

cricket04.jpg

Was very well-behaved when ticks were removed

cricket05.jpg

Resident dogs segregated and unimpressed at the segregation

cricket08.jpg

He is a sweet boy

cricket12.jpg

he's very dog-friendly and people-friendly

cricket21.jpg

He travels well in the car, is great in a crate and eats fine around the other dogs. He'll need some confidence-boosting.

Thanks all. Cricket's doing well in care. His blog is here.

He has settled into being an inside dog very well and has taught himself how to use the dog door and is now house-trained.

He gets along well with other dogs

His socialisation checklist is here. He is doing very, very well.

Update of former foster Juniper, the former Gundagai poundie. She's still being pampered

juniper14_1.jpg

Still doing great at flyball

juniperupdate13.jpg

She hasn't forgotten her pound days and is donating the dog food she wins at flyball competitions back to Gundagai pound.
