I had this most amazing young man come and chop down 5 dangerous trees from my place yesterday, as well as chop back 2 of the awful neighbours trees. He was very high up the tree when I took this, and I was firmly on the ground. It made me think of the back lighting thread though.

He was completely at ease up there. He's not even 20, still driving on p plates, this kid will go far. I'd be very proud if I was his mum.

I could have bought a very fancy lens for what I paid him yesterday, but when I saw how he worked he was worth every cent, and more.

pers: sweet sleepy shot of Leo in the late afternoon light!

a recent (late July) non-dog shot, I had fun with that foreground foliage, not sure what it is exactly but there was a large patch growing taller than me by a small lake, and I took quite a few shots from various angles etc. ... by-the-by it was one of those freezing mornings where I couldn't feel my fingers while trying to take pictures
