What a cutie!!

So late yesterday arvo we went swimming in the river, I held Nova only about a meter out where he's feet can't touch the bottom. He's a ridiculous swimmer. What kind of dog sinks? Think I'll need a life jacket laugh.gif

He much prefers to paddle around in the shallows.

Very cute pics guys :) How awesome Ezio got to catch up with his brother!

I had a massive win yesterday - I've been taking Nixon to the dog park for months now - it's fenced, with double gates on each entry. He is always SUPER excited, as he's very social. For months, every single time we go, I ask him to sit at both gates before I open them. For months, he's ignored me while I ask him to sit over and over again, until I cave and give him a collar correction and force him to sit.

Yesterday, for the first time ever, he just sat - first go!!! At BOTH gates! I couldn't believe it! I'm so proud of him, he's finally growing up a little :) Such a good boy! Will have to see if he does it again...

How much did he weigh in at today?

 Just because he is going to big won't mean he won't be active. People have some funny ideas.

I have Ezio Booked in for his last puppy vacc this week, and afterwards we are taking a trip to the groomers to get him groomed up and receive a bit of socialisation there :) He finishes puppy preschool this Saturday but he will still be going to the puppy playgroups to play with his brother and socialise with the other puppies.

I have booked him into an obedience club to start working towards obedience (the current school doesn't do obedience), maybe we could even get to a competitive level, but I will see how it goes and see if we enjoy it enough to first. I have no clue about obedience or rally, but I think it would be a great opportunity to get a stronger bond with Ezio and improve his focus.

I bet you're looking forward to that final shot! I was so happy when I could take Nova out without carrying him!

I already posted these in the Aussie thread but thought Nova was looking very grown up in this first photo, so will share here too :) (Excuse the fuzziness from the wet camera)

He really looks like one of his relative I've met in this first one smile.gif

Looks like Nova is having so much fun! I wish we had somewhere like that to swim nearby! Is it fresh water?

We're close to the river, but it's brackish where we are and quite muddy. I also worry about sharks, even though I'll happily wakeboard in the river myself. Funny how you worry about your babies far more than yourself! If Nix gets muddy at the park I usually take him for a swim to clean off though. He's grown into a proper water baby and loves swimming now.

Awesome photos! I love the one with him jumping out of the water by himself. Treb is still not a water baby he only goes up to his ankles and even then it is only to step in because everyone else was in the water too.

It's in the Murrumbidgee river :) There is normally a nice sandy beach there but the river has been quite high lately.

Nova sinks in the water, but he was getting frustrated so... Today I bought him a life jacket! He followed me out into the deeper water straight away! I think he must of just needed that extra little support :)
