Yay got my numbers for both days, postie came about hour before we left home :-)

I hope you all know by now what HUGE effort was put in for this weekend's Colac shows, poor Kathy Humphries was rushed to hospital in an emergency situation, with severe health problems around 17th April. ...Numbers , entries and catalogue were organised brilliantly at the LAST MINUTE, and the committee and volunteers have done an absolute STERLING job to bring it altogether and run this weekend of shows so smoothly and brilliantly. Due to Kathy's serious emergency health scare , they'd lost Laurie Humphries as a steward for both days, and for ring set- up plus every other job he takes care of( no - one will ever know exactly how much this involves until they run a show themselves), plus Kathy for numbers and catalogue and every other job she takes care of.......thankfully the wonderful, caring people of the dog show organising world came together and put in maximum effort to pull this Colac weekend together. special mention must be made of Margaret Newman for gathering the troops and gathering the last minute volunteers together, amongst every other thing Margaret had to think of, organise and arrange! , Cathy Raven for the catalogues , Lorraine Harrowfield, John O'Herne, Bernie and many others behind the scenes who we are not aware of ............the judges were fabulous, relaxed, friendly......it was wonderful to see the caring people of the dog world rally around and bring together a fantastic weekend of shows ........all the while thinking of our good friends Kathy and Laurie Humphries, who do so much for us all, year in, year out.Sending good wishes to Kathy for a speedy recovery, and to Laurie recovering from the shock of seeing his beloved Kathy in such a bad way........take care, get well and come back soon Kathy and Laurie.

Please, exhibitors, take care of your on-line comments, life happens, be gentle on the VOLUNTEERS who run our shows, and not so ready to whinge and criticise when things don't go the way YOU think they should..........pitch in, offer to help, it will open your eyes to the amount of hard work and effort that goes into running a dog show.....so much more than a ribbon, a BOB, or any other accolade for a show win......without these hard working, dedicated VOLUNTEERS, there would be no shows.....pause for thought PLEASE!

Get will soon, Kathy H!

Kathy

Does anyone have any results for this weekend?

How windy was it on Saturday?

BB

Saturday was B $@!@&$@$ awful, hot, humid, strong wind, grit everywhere, exhausting, but a great show day.........just that I, ( and every other steward and judge) was out in it ALL day and we all found it EXHAUSTING! Lots of eye drops and cool water were needed once home....Weather today was much more pleasant and bearable.....
