Hunter Valley Zoo has baby meerkats at the moment... and is probably at my furthest reach for a day trip there and back. Then there's the Reptile Park at Gosford/Somersby, Nowra Zoo, Castle Hill Koala Park (I hear it's pretty run down though), the Manly Aquarium. Mogo, Dubbo, and Canberra are also high on my list of zoos to visit - just have to find boarding for the 4 dogs and accommodation in either place for a day or two to make it worthwhile. A friend is currently quoting a big roofing job in Canberra, so if he gets it, he will be living there for a while to do the job - can bunk with him for that... and I have a zookeeper friend in Dubbo who I could probably lob with for a few days... oh and a friend in Bateman's Bay (near Mogo)... Damn! What am I waiting for? (apart from a job so I can afford to do all of the above... lol!) T. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
